They have the best produce Ive ever tasted and it's grown right there on the farm. The prices are really good it's $5.50 for a dozen ears of corn and it's the best I've tasted the cherry tomatoes were also the best. It's only about 6 miles from the Freeport exit on Route 28 it's definitely a destination during the middle of the summer months.

I paid $24 a bushel ($12/basket or half bushel) and plan to make my sauce in the next few days.

The chocolates were packaged with care and arrived undamaged. The chocolate was top notch, and oh so reminiscent of other big name local chocolate companies (Sarris, Betsy Anne). The inside of the Salted Chocolate, Pretzel, and Potato Stick Bar was very crisp and paired perfectly with the chocolate. *Can also be found as Sarver Chocolate Company!

First of all, Cathy is the nicest lady you'll ever meet in your life. She's an expert baker who creates pastries so beautiful you'd think it couldn't be as tasty as it is beautiful. Surely the creations cannot be as delicious as they are beautiful. Wrong. I am obsessed with Cathy's creations, from Wedding and grooms cakes to cupcakes to edible wedding favors/Party favors like customized chocolate covered Oreos and popcorn (which comes in several varieties catered to food sensitivities--a MUST in 2018!) If you aren't considering Frosted Envy for your pastries or Popped Envy (sister company) for your popcorn needs you're doing yourself such a disservice.

Sprankle's is a small grocery-store chain, and this particular store is in Saxonburg…read more My husband and I shopped here one time. The store contained the usual departments--fruits, vegetables, baked goods, deli meats and cheeses, butcher meats, seafoods, canned and boxed foods, frozen foods, dairy, beverages, pet foods, home goods, cleaning products, etcetera. The store also sold lottery tickets and surprisingly had slot machines. This was probably our first-ever time shopping at a Sprankle's, so I paid attention to the prices and compared them to other grocery stores' prices. We thought that the blackberries, boxes of canned sodas, and individual cans of wet cat foods were priced too high. Some products had stickers that said "Reduced for Quick Sale" but did not mention the new price. I also paid attention to the quality of the foods. I noticed grapes that were moldy. Nonetheless, we did find many foods to buy: apples, bananas, green beans, potatoes, mushrooms, onion, turkey, potato chips, popcorn, drink mix, etcetera. The cashier asked us if we were members of the rewards program and if we wanted to join, and we said no to both. (We do not live nearby.) She did a very good job of scanning our foods, charging our credit card, and thanking us. Sprankle's also offers a Rewards program, home delivery, catering, and group fundraising, but I have never used them.
