So imagine my surprise when I paid $18 for an excellent haircut at Jordan-Bailey here in Conway, Ar. The salon is located in a little cluster of shops off Prince Street and one could pass it by if one wasn't being driven by their son who lives in town. My appointment was with April, who came highly recommended by my son and his roommates. She was probably the most personable, genuine person I've met on my travels to date. Very knowledgeable about hair and hair products I might add. She suggested keeping the length of my hair but still took off enough so I felt like I had a haircut and not a 'trim'. April has been doing this for six years and enjoys what she's doing which, in my opinion,enhances the chances of getting a cut you like. I know I did. It's funny, I could see her living in S.F. or L.A. and fitting right in. She is quite humble too as it was difficult to tip her back something for her artistic efforts! The owner, Greg Nobles has been in this location for three years but has been in the business since 1997. He, like the staff, is very personable and knows his clientele well. I enjoyed chatting with him. I highly recommend anyone wanting a pleasurable hair experience to come here and be pampered a bit!

Even after moving across the country I still fly back to Arkansas periodically and always stop in for a 'do. He has a friendly, talented staff and the atmosphere is great. Let me just say that I trust very few people with my hair and it's hard for my to trust new hair…read moredressers. I come from the city where there are lots of professional hair stylists and beauty is huge. I was super skeptical about finding somebody in CONWAY that could treat my hair well since I get my hair chemically treated a lot when I go home (straight perm). However, the finishing product of my hair was amazing after leaving studio M. I was looking to do a balayage last minute and just so happens Lindsey was able to take me in the same day I called. Long story short, she treated my hair with something to protect my hair from the bleach, I chose the color, and she made my hair look beautiful and healthy. My hair does not feel damaged at all (even though bleaching does do damage). The end product was amazing. It looks more like an ombré even though I wanted a balayage style but either way it looks great and people love it(: So glad God led me to a hair dresser that cares about how I feel about my hair and is so sweet! I was a walk-in at around 1:30 and they had me in a chair within five minutes, not bad at all! The owner and Barbi, the woman who did my hair, were absolute sweethearts! They mad me feel very welcome. Barbi is not only super friendly but an excellent hair stylist as well!! I had attempted to go to another salon a few months prior who butchered the bangs I wanted :( Barbi did the bangs with perfect precision. I can tell she has an eye for detail. The price isn't too bad but it is a little pricy. However with the care that these women put into their work, I don't mind paying a little extra. I'll definitely be coming back!
