Now it turns out the gutters they installed were 7 1/2 inches. The standard gutter is between four and 6 inches. The gutters were installed without a facia board. They were screwed directly into the roof beams. Because the gutters were not installed with the facia board, Water got in between this very large heavy gutter and the roof beams and rotted it. It also appears as there are not enough downspouts. Now I'm having to pay for a whole new gutter system for the entire house. They sent me a picture of some debris in the lowest part of the gutter after it fell off the building. It didn't appear to me as there was very much debris in the gutter, but this is the excuse they're using as to why the gutter fell off, and why they are not responsible. They installed the gutters with no gutter guard so they knew that some debris would get into the gutter. They sent me one photo showing the lowest part of the gutter after everything shifted into it during the fall. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. I can't imagine a gutter company installing a great big huge heavy gutter onto a building with no facia board to secure it onto the building, and not enough downspouts.. The Property Management company had given the instructions to have the new gutter system look like the old. What she said was taking out of context because she certainly wouldn't have told them to do the work if she had known it needed a facia board more downspouts and there was no reason for the expensive oversized Heavy Gutters. I wonder if they had put on the proper size gutter if the savings could have paid for the facia board and additionally needed downspouts?

Huge applause for North Bay Roofing…read more Two years ago they replaced our 25 year-old roof. They gave us very accurate estimates and also outlined what issues we might be facing once the old roof came off. They did an excellent job, showed up when they said they were, completed the job quickly, installed skylights as well and were very tidy once they left. We were very happy with the results. Two years later and we got this crazy storm and for some reason we were getting water in inside the house. It was the first time since the new roof went on that we were having any issue. We called North Bay Roofing up at 9:30 in the morning. By 1130 that morning a technician was out here looking at the situation, was able to make a determination of where the water might be coming in and did an extremely thorough and professional patch job. We have not had any leaks with the subsequent storms we've had. So appreciate North Bay being so conscientious and prompt in addressing our issue. We were happy with them two years ago. Worked diligently and finished a little sooner than I expected. The only downside was the dirt that came out of my downspouts and had no place to go, but that wasn't his fault. I watched Doughty Roofing replace the roof on the house across the street and was impressed by the crew's efficiency and work. I met Buzz when they were cleaning up on the job across the street; I asked him if he could look at my place and give me an estimate. He took a great deal of time to explained his estimate procedure. Buzz said it was a two-day job and responded quickly, answering questions right away, and came back with a good bid that same day. The work was completed between the recent storms in one day plus a couple of hours the next. We now have a custom fitting, better combination solar tube and sky light that required considerable skill to complete on a sloped roof that also had a small dip in how it was original constructed. However, each step of the way, Buzz very kindly informed us of every detail and necessary deviation from what was first anticipated. We fully expected the cost to be higher, but he kept it to his original estimate, which was very competitive, showed up on time and finished in the time represented. It just doesn't get better than hiring a local, well regarded, highly skilled and conscientious company with great employees, all of the right tools and who has uncommonly great integrity. When they left, everything was cleaned up to the point that it seemed like they had not been here. The same goes for most successful businesses, do it right and take nothing for granted. In this case it's the gutters on your roof that keep rain from going places where it's not supposed to go. If your roof isn't keeping things dry and without a doubt on your part, save yourself a lot of trouble and have Superior install seamless gutters and guards. In 2013 I decided it was time for a new roof on my house. I also decided it was time to quit risking my life every year cleaning out my old gutters. I had installed some DIY gutter guards on the old roof, the kind that work for maybe a year, then collapse like mine did. The guy I chose to install the roof recommended Superior Seamless for the gutters, which is how I met Cory when he prepared an estimate. He suggested I also have them install real, effective gutter guards that are securely attached no matter how hard the wind blows. The price was not only reasonable, it was well worth every dollar.
