I was like a cowboy at a rodeo looking at my next pair of gear but...(insert funny story hear). I was so excited that I grabbed a couple of shirts and was taking them toward the register when I heard one of the ladies snickering saying in the sweetest Texas drawl, "Baby, that is a good color on you, but I think you might be a bit too short for the shirt". I said, "Ma'am I tried the shirt on due to my wide shoulders it fits perfectly" and she replied, "Well, did you look down?" As I looked down, I realized the shirt was the correct Size number, but it was a XL and came down past my waist. We had big laugh with that, but I did leave out of there with some work shirts and they are holding up strong in this disrespectful Texas heat, plus great prices!!!

After grabbing a quick breakfast from Whataburger, i pulled into the parking lot to finish eating and sending a work email. I wanted to check the store out because i had heard good things. I waited in my car for the store to open. While waiting, I worked a bit on my Mac. As I was waiting, a Car parked near me. This was odd because the parking lot was virtually empty and there were spots closer to the door. I also noticed that the woman in the car sat and watched me for a while. I was finishing up a work email and phone call as the owner approached me in my car. She motioned for me to roll my window down and told me that "this is a private parking lot". It was very condescending and rude. She assumed I was not a customer based on my skin. The parking lot was empty. I did not realize I was parked on the delivery side. I would understand if she had said I was parked on the delivery side, that the customer side was around the corner. The other lot was completely empty. I had just assumed the side with 5 cars was the right side. Instead, it was a "this is private property". You could tell that she was telling me to leave by her motion and the fact she stayed to watch me. I will never step foot in this store. You apparently can't be a black individual and be parked in a parking lot. Why would I try to be a black individual inside the store? Looking at the other reviews, I see that this is a trend. The jump to judgment when it comes to people of color is racist. I felt judged by the color of my skin. My education and appearance should not matter. I am an ACU grad, I have a Master in Business Administration and am finishing up an analytics certification. I don't care if someone is homeless, treat them with respect and kindness.

Plus Ulta basically had their own separate entrance for even quicker pickup. The one restroom area I saw on the directory was clear on the other side. Seems like for such a seemingly expansive mall that another set should be developed on this end. Then when I got to the women's restrooms there was an awkward line because of the tight area. There were 3 - maybe 4 - stalls. That's not enough for this mall! Lol. Then they had only the dryers you dip your hands into for drying--no paper towels which would not normally bother me but it was grungy like the rest of the facilities. Leaving the parking lot to enter the Interstate 25 west was also a bit of a hassle, but thanks to friendly folks, I got out quicker than the right-turners in front of me.
