Items Selected: Sample Crème Snegl, Croissant Cinnamon Snegl Chokolade Fragilite Jordbaerkage Strawberry Tart Carrot Cake with Ginger and Cheese Frosting Brownie with Salty Caramel Featuring several locations across Copenhagen, the most convenient for those visiting the city specifically to explore the dining scene a corner kiosk at Torvehallerne, Laura's Bakery brings a bit of American sensibility to products that are by-and-large still Nordic, everything from traditional Crème Snegls and Sugared Rye offered next to Cookies and Cakes featuring the words "Red Velvet." Tucked away at the furthest end of the Market, a space adjacent The Coffee Collective seemingly a good fit as Laura's offers no beverages while The Coffee Collective is so intensely focused on creating a perfect Cup that there is nothing else on the menu, those approaching Laura's will first notice two large windows of Bread and Rolls with per-piece prices, a small plate of samples along the counter a novelty in Denmark and on this particular afternoon featuring a traditional Croissant that seemed a little soft plus a Custard-filled Roll. Providing both pleasant service and free WiFi plus some seating, a bar along the window great for people watching but prone to bumps from those passing by, a look at Laura's goods entailed a total of six items on this particular occasion, the unfrosted Cinnamon Swirl absolutely soaked with Butter and thus a little less texturally compelling than most while the sizable Chocolate Chip Cookie was the ideal combination of crisp rim and soft center, though those who prefer a nutless option are unfortunately out of luck. Having already seen Jordbaerkage at both Lagkagehuset and a few other places, the Strawberry-Cream Tart apparently quite popular throughout Denmark, suffice it to say that this dish would likely be better off were it to use fresh Strawberries rather than those that are sugared and soggy, the Chocolate-shell on the bottom also not particularly enjoyable though the Fudge atop a piece of Caramel-centered Chocolate Cake was high quality, even if the texture is not what most would label a "brownie." Debating the Red Velvet briefly, but eventually deciding some things are better left for the places from which they are from, it was instead in a piece of Carrot Cake that 45DKK was invested, the base light in both taste as well as texture beneath smooth Frosting and crumbled Ginger while the item entitled "Fragilite" was something like a Mille-Feuille using Nougat between layers of Pastry Cream.

Excited to see many different coffee shops at this indoor market but Laura stood out due to their expansive pastry case that had tons of delicious pastries - savory and sweet! Also, a huge bonus for myself and any other iced over hot coffee lovers - they listed iced coffee & lattes on their menu! Many coffee shops only listed hot options as iced variations are not as popular with customers compared to other countries perhaps. We got a homemade 'pop tart' pastry that was perfect - the pastry was similar to a shortbread texture and it was perfectly buttery and not too sweet so it balanced the rich raspberry jam inside. Their iced latte was also stellar, not too milky and not acidic. Overall would recommend visiting Laura's Bakery but just be aware that their prices (similar to others in the market) are quite steep.

Laura's bakery was beckoning to me upon entering the food hall (Torvehallerne). Wish it hadn't cause I left unhappy. Maybe I ordered wrong. My chocolate croissant was dry and disappointing. Would I return? Sure, I would. Just would not order that chocolate croissant again. Maybe the second visit will be good.

delicious loaf of bread topped with almond slivers, amazing crust

this is a fantastic bakery! they have very sweet and helpful girls working, both helping us foreigners choose breads and pastries to go with our deli choices and dessert the pastries were very good, oh so deliicous! there was one large one that was twisted and similar to a cinnamon roll..except delicious! not too sweet, just right amount of chocolate and cinnamon, and not over glazed with frosting! the breads were so good too! toasted almonds on the crust, deliicous flavor not dry or bland or anything wrong! good prices compared to other booths too would love to be back

Blomme tart (plum tart) is worth a visit alone. They must use almond flour because it has hints of marzipan throughout this perfect pastry. Inside food hall 2, and saddled in the stall furthest from the Norrebro train entrance.

Upon passing by this place I could see how creative they are with the items they make. Well thought out and well presented. I fell for the sweet rolls I had not seen before and each bite was a taste of heaven, if heaven was made of chocolate and cream. I would definitely come back and try the rest of their deliciousness. :)

Apple Caramel Cake. Insane in whatever membranes I had left!

You try to behave, to limit the indulgences you allow yourself at the start of a trip -- knowing that, in all reality, you'll destroy that promise sooner rather than later. In my case, I didn't think it'd happen on the second day of my trip...or that I'd relapse a day later. Thanks to Laura's obscenely good pastries, I found myself chowing down on a sinfully sweet apple caramel cake that bowled me over after the first bite. What could be bad? Fresh apples, caramel, butter, brown sugar... The staff was really helpful, too, especially considering that after saying "Tak," I've essentially exhausted my Danish vocabulary. Oh, and Laura's is in the gorgeous Torvehallerne Market, which has lots of other decadent treats--and an ATM to replenish the always-rapidly dwindling supply of kroner.

The nut tart may be my favorite dessert ever. All of the desserts looked great and I can't wait to go back to try more.

Bronx club, tastes more like Brooklyn than the Bronx.

While I was visiting Denmark/CPH *Lovely country by the way* I didn't have a huge budget. So I looked up local places where I was staying and ended up coming to Lauras everyday for my time here. The sandwiches are fantastic the bread is very fresh as is everything in it. But the real winner here is the baked sweets! I had a few I forgot the name of them since I don't speak/read Danish, but my god some of the best I've ever had if I lived in CPH I think I'd become obese eating these sweets all the time. So if you find yourself in the area for sure check out Lauras my favorite cafe/food spot in CPH.

This was disappointing, the pastries were dry and lacked flavor. I won't go there again.

Our favorite bakery that we found while staying at the Strand after trying over 5 of them…read more The strawberry thing is amazing. I have no idea what the white stuff inside it is, but it's fantastic. The ham and cheese panini type sandwich was also very good. The chocolate cinnamon roll slice wasn't my favorite, other bakeries did it better, but everything else was great. Staff was very friendly. You do have to pay for a larger bag if you need it. We purchased about $35 worth of pantries that came in a box plus 4 small bags so it was a bit silly a larger bag wasn't just included.

Perfectly splendid…read more My gentleman and I came to RVH for a morning treat which would power us through extensive Copenhagen tourism. We were not disappointed with our initial visit and intend to visit several times more during our stay. What's so great? Fresh and expertly made baked goods in an attractive cafe, served by pleasant people. I made point to pace myself as I enjoyed pastry and latte, taking in the relaxing atmosphere. We were not alone in our experience. Many people, who appeared to be on their way to work, stopped in for baked goods at a regular pace. I cannot recall what I ate, but I'm certain that you will not be disappointed with anything. *Side note: don't attempt to use the free check in item. They say it's 3 years old and acted offended by my asking.

Fell in love with this cafe in the Indre By area ! So spacious & cozy - true hygge & European…read morevibes. The seating is first come, first serve and you order at the bar like most cafes in Denmark. The ambiance was so cozy. We ordered a cafe latte and a mocha latte. Both were delicious and creamy and they came with little ginger cookies on the side. We also ordered the 3 mini veggie burgers and they were so yummy! And actually more the size of normal burgers in the US so I was pleasantly surprised. The burgers came with the softest and tastiest potatoes I've ever had. Whether you're looking for a romantic evening coffee with your special someone, a cozy catch up with a friend, or some R&R on your own - this cafe is a must go to if you're in Copenhagen !

Absolutely fantastic, if huge, meal. Though it doesn't say so, it seems these meals are to be…read moreahared because they are so plentiful. Loved what I had and still stuffed hours later. The mushroom frittata (I think it was) was absolutely delish- no rubbery egg taste, lovely mushies. I was worried about the carrot salad because it looked like it was tossed in something creamy, but it was quite good. This also included a really rich and thick tomato soup, and a small toast w/ goat cheese and a rhubarb jam, and some sweet treat- I'm guessing made with mascarpone. Hubbies sandwiches were good, though I've never seen mushrooms in a chicken salad before (luckily they were big enough for him to pick out so I got those too). Only reason to dong them a Star was due to the chaotic way and wait to order. There was one queue downstairs and two people intermittently taken orders. But, the people taking the orders also were making fancy coffee drinks and doing other stuff, so it was very staccato. When we were next in line, both people ringing people up went missing for quite a few minutes and then a newcomer went straight over to the 2nd register to ask a question, as if the people in the longer queue weren't waiting, and because the guys behind the counter were so all over the place they couldn't keep track of that. Then it turns out if you want to sit upstairs, you have to order up there, so off we went to wait in another queue. After you order, you take a number to your table and we thought they forgot about us, and asked a bus boy to check in for us and he returned with our food. Oy! Also: They do have English menus on request, but not typically on the table. Excellent food and ambience!
