And in my opinion a more accurate representation of the disaster of a business you're considering engaging with. Overall experience was terrible. The consultation in general was simply an excuse to push processed, expensive packaged foods like shakes, bars, etc. instead of teaching clients how to eat real food in a sustainable way. I decided not to move forward with the program after meeting with the Dr. Weeks later I received an invoice that brings me to the disaster of their billing. Their "insurance experts" and front office completely miss the boat on accurately explaining the offices costs. When I walked in the gal attempted to charge me $95 (I later learned this was the full cost if I had no insurance, in hindsight I should have simply paid this). I told her I was quoted $45 by the billing team and wasn't interested in paying $95 for a consultation so if it was that vs. $45 cancel the appointment. She went to the back and came back out and said oh year $45. Ok. Two weeks later, after paying the $45 the day of the appointment, I received a bill for $92.88. Which by the way in hindsight NOT using insurance would have been better for me, wish their "insurance expert" had mentioned that when she ran my insurance and told me the cost for a consultaton would be $45. The billing company (they outsource it) was really nice to work with and apologetic explaining they've had high turn over at the medical office and have been having problems with clients not having expenses properly explained. Apparently I'm not the first to have this or a similar issue. They escalated my call back to Rainier Medical who came back and said the costs are listed on the website and I signed something when I showed up that said I'd pay whatever was billed so it was due. I paid the $92.88 (plus the original $45) and am wiping my hands of the experience but hope by sharing others will know to (a) avoid this place, the services aren't worth it and (b) if you do go don't trust the billing/front desk team to be helpful.

My husband and I had both previously seen Dr. Poling as our primary care and had great experiences, so I was excited to transfer my daughter's care to Link as well. However, my husband was met with criticism and skepticism regarding our childcare choices and I was completely shocked to hear that the Doctor noted my Bipolar Disorder and in the same breath asked if I was "living in the home" despite the fact that I am listed as the primary contact, and am the primary prescriber for our family's insurance plan, and signed that I was in fact the one preparing new patient paperwork. Because my husband was the one to take my daughter to the appointment, it was assumed I was an incompetent and uninvolved parent due to my psychiatric disability. This is blatant sexism and ableism, and I am dismayed that a provider that claims "he is skilled at addressing mental health" (as noted in his bio on the Link website) would perpetuate this type of stigma. I'm curious if he asks every mother that attends her children's appointment alone if their father is in the picture, or if he himself has attended every single doctor's appointment, school and sporting event in his children's lifetime. I absolutely loved Dr. Poling (she is the only reason I'm not rating as one star) but I am not comfortable having myself and my family treated in a clinic at which this provider practices. Dr. Garofalo's behavior and clear biases against working mothers and those living with mental illness is antithetical to Link's statement that "We practice medicine with a philosophy that centers the patient's values and experience, and pursues racial and social health justice." I truly hope Dr. Garofalo will reconsider how he interacts with patients and do some true introspective work regarding his biases.

I waited for over an hour, and no one ever arrived at the clinic. I had to take time off work and rearrange other appointments to accommodate this session, so having no communication whatsoever was incredibly frustrating and disrespectful of my time. I understand that emergencies and scheduling conflicts happen, but patients deserve timely communication if an appointment cannot be kept. I hope the office improves its reliability and communication moving forward.

My doctor was Dr. Agrawal, and the procedure was a colonoscopy. I received very thorough instructions on prep, as well as what to expect time-wise for each segment of care on the day of the procedure. I was sent texts with links to videos on what to do throughout the week to prepare. They allow you to take a rideshare company to and from the procedure vs. insisting you find somebody who can be free for a couple of hours during a workday (might not be the case if you have an end of day appointment, as you do need to stay longer in recover if you do this). All the staff were nice. The location was clean and well-kept from what I could see. No pain or discomfort afterwards, the post op nurse gave me clear discharge instructions and kept me updated on when I could call a ride to the minute, Dr Agrawal came and discussed my results with me, and another staff member walked me down to my ride to ensure I was off safely. While this isn't a place you're going to say "I loved it and can't wait to go back!" I'm glad I was encouraged to do a colonoscopy and not count on the negative Cologuard results with it's 8% false negatives (I've had friends dying of colon cancer, rates are up) and now I feel safe to not stress about it for the next decade unless I get symptoms.

I was told that some patients do have that reaction and it just comes on without a warning. He was put in his waiting room, I.V. was able to be put in. He had his procedure done, and by the way they are Nurse Anesthetists, and are very much certified and well trained, not like a previous reviewer stated. Dr Donner did his procedure. He was checked on and made sure he was fine, before and after, I also received a follow-up call the next day. Great Great service and care.

The purpose of this message is to call into question the quality of healthcare my wife and I have…read moreexperienced from Kaiser Permanente over these past many years. Approximately 7 years ago I noticed my right foot started becoming numb. In a very short period of time the numbness also became apparent in my left foot as well. The provider diagnosed it as neuropathy and prescribed medication for same. I asked the provider what neuropathy was and why I was experiencing this. The provider gave a very blanketed response. She said it is usually but not always associated with diabetes. The provider informed me that in my case it is classified as peripheral neuropathy more than likely caused by my being overweight and having high blood pressure for years. The pain had become so intense I requested barbiturates but was met with resistance each and every time. Providers suggested higher doses of tylenol and ibuprofen, which had absolutely no affect. Year after year the pain intensified. I pleaded for help. I literally begged because I was so desperate. I asked for relief but again and again the answer I received was to increase the doses of over the counter and prescribed medications, which did absolutely nothing to releave the pain. With no relief in site I fell into a deep depression. The pain had become so severe I was continplating ending my life. I had lost all hope. I realized long ago that Kaiser Permenente's providers' number one priority is not improving the quality of their patients lives. It is not finding the cause of the illness and curing it. It is prescribing medications long term in order to pacify their patients and to profit from these prescriptions. It was at this time that I was able to muster enough willpower and fortitude to become my own advocate and demanded something be done. I researched the medications I was taking and found that many of them were unnecessary. So, I stopped taking them. I also demanded that I be referred to specialists who's profession is dealing with my particular situation. One of the referrals I had requested was for the Spine Clinic. The referral was actually made by a Kaiser Permanente specialist, a true specialist, unrelated to my present condition. He is one of the few people I trust at Kaiser. I confided with the specialist with what I had been dealing with in regard to my presumed neuropathy diagnosis and he suggested I go to the Spine Clinic. Kaiser Permanente has a Spine Clinic. However, appointments for the clinic were 3 months out so I requested a third party provider. The pain I was experiencing would not allow me to wait that long. Within days I was provided an appointment. After reviewing an x ray I had taken just prior to my appointment the surgeon was able to diagnose my condition. It was determined that I don't have neuropathy after all. Which, I had been told by many "specialists" and providers for the past 7 years. It was discovered that my condition was brought on by a pinched nerve in my lower back L4 L5 region, which caused my feet to become numb and extremely painful. I cant help but wonder how many other patients were misdiagnosed and contemplated or succeeded in ending their misery by their own hands. So many at Kaiser neglected to properly do their jobs. It has become commonplace. I was improperly diagnosed seven years ago and not one provider even suggested my being referred to the Spine Clinic even though my records indicate I had been dealing with lower back problems my entire adult life. Not one provider or specialist ever stopped to consider an alternate approach to my condition or to reevaluate the neuropathy diagnosis.
