Because so many are broken, you're basically forced to use the more expensive machines - and even those do a terrible job cleaning your clothes. To make matters worse, they don't accept coins. You're required to purchase a reloadable laundry card with a minimum $5.00 balance, but each wash is $3.60. That means you're always left with leftover money you can't fully use. You can't even use the extra balance to buy hangers, which are only $0.20 each... it's clearly designed to waste your money. On top of all that, the floors and folding tables are absolutely filthy. This place is poorly maintained and clearly doesn't care about providing a decent customer experience. Spend your time and money elsewhere.. this laundromat just isn't worth it.

While working in Lake Charles on a long-term deployment and staying in a hotel, I have to do my own laundry. I don't like using the hotel's laundry facilities because the machines are dirty and have an awful smell causing the clothes to stink. Today, I went on a search to find a good clean, reliable, convenient, and affordable laundromat that would meet all of my needs. I found that at the Cooling Springs Laundromat on Broad St at 2nd Ave. This place is fairly new, clean, and well maintained. There are 25 clean washers in three different sizes to meet all of your washing needs. There are 20 large clean and well working dryers. This place equipped with the following for your convenience: *Security. More than 10 security cameras strategically placed throughout the inside and outside of the facility. * Entertainment - TV's, free Wi-Fi, and vending machines (snacks & drinks). * Separate clean men and women restrooms. * Both a bill-to-bill changer and a bill to coin changer. * Machines accept cash and credit cards. *There's also an ATM machine on site. * Communication signs through the facility in case there is a problem. * Vending machine stocked with washing detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. Ample benches for sitting, tables for folding clothes, and rolling carts for transporting the laundry from the washer to the dryer, etc. *Covered parking for loading and unloading laundry. This is definitely my place to go when I'm needing to do laundry while working in the Lake Charles are. If you need to do laundry, I highly recommend this Cooling Spring Laundromat.

The clerk apologized because she was "supposed to remind me not to hit it". She went on to say she has "told the owner several times". After speaking with the owner, he denies ever creating a hazard, says I am the first to hit it and will not assist with any cost to repair my vehicle. First, there are several inexpensive corrective measures that could have been taken to minimize the hazard. The owner obviously doesn't care about his clients and apparently isn't honest either because the picture clearly shows I wasn't the first to hit his bollard.

It was dropped off 17 days prior to hurricane Laura and was not sent off before or even offered to be picked up prior to make sure it was saved. This dress was not cheap, but regardless of price a wedding dress is sentimental to risk losing in a storm when you told the customer it would be sent off before this event even occurred. Fast forward to November after calling to check several times prior and they could not give an answer to whether the dress was ready or had even been sent off to be preserved yet. The lady, Gayla, told me she had one with no name on it and we could come get it to see if it is ours. Her mother went and it wasn't hers, but the poor bride it belonged to could have had her dress given to anyone because of this careless worker!! Fast forward to January 2021 and the dress was finally returned, stains still visible, the store let them set without sending it off for over 4 months and being contacted numerous times regarding this concern. We went with them because we were told it would be sent off in less than 2 weeks. The box was not even checked to see if it was the correct order, considering the dress was packaged upside down in the preservation box. Bride's mother called and spoke to Gayla, the same lady that tried to give us another bride's dress, and said she did not care that they took this long to send off a dress and that it is not her problem. She told her she would contact the BBB and Gayla told her to go ahead and hung up. Terrible customer service!!!! I believe Gayla is a manager too, which says a lot about this business with a manager like that.

First time they came back with cuffs still in, dropped them back off, they came back removed but shorter, finally third time (which was around a month total time) they were repaired correctly.
