First world problem: What does one do about laundry on a long vacation? Do you:
1. Pack for the entire trip, not do any laundry, and face the end of the adventure with a huge bag of stinking close and a date with the washer and dryer upon coming home?
2. Spend an ungodly portion of your trip at sleazy motel coin washes for which the efficiency is at best questionable?
3. Bring one outfit, then buy and dispose as you go?
4. Have a willing (and available) friend/relative do the deed?
5. The ever nebulous "Other"?
While we were still in Dublin, I had looked into the hotel's valet service, but at about E6 for a pair of socks, I elected to continue my search. Upon arriving at Galway, we consulted the internet, found the Launderland just a block away, and found that they washed and dried up to 7.5KG for E10. Sounds like a deal. As we had a full day planned, I moseyed over when they opened with my bag, inquired what needed to be done (which was essentially come back and collect, and of course, pay). Couldn't be more simple. I returned near closing time after our long day trudging the streets of Galway, presented my ticket, and received everything we had given the establishment, and nothing more.
