First world problem: What does one do about laundry on a long vacation? Do you:…read more 1. Pack for the entire trip, not do any laundry, and face the end of the adventure with a huge bag of stinking close and a date with the washer and dryer upon coming home? 2. Spend an ungodly portion of your trip at sleazy motel coin washes for which the efficiency is at best questionable? 3. Bring one outfit, then buy and dispose as you go? 4. Have a willing (and available) friend/relative do the deed? 5. The ever nebulous "Other"? While we were still in Dublin, I had looked into the hotel's valet service, but at about E6 for a pair of socks, I elected to continue my search. Upon arriving at Galway, we consulted the internet, found the Launderland just a block away, and found that they washed and dried up to 7.5KG for E10. Sounds like a deal. As we had a full day planned, I moseyed over when they opened with my bag, inquired what needed to be done (which was essentially come back and collect, and of course, pay). Couldn't be more simple. I returned near closing time after our long day trudging the streets of Galway, presented my ticket, and received everything we had given the establishment, and nothing more. As promised, clothes were clean, dry, and neat.

Edmond was there helping a customer and said to give him 30 minutes. He finished up with the customer and fixed up my watch band! I paid him in silly resin chickens. SQUEE!!! Thank you so very muchness! I went to where we were supporting the local economy (shopping for souvenirs at another small business) and they agreed that Edmond is awesome. I love that the shop owners know each other and support each other. What an awesome community! I highly recommend! Go here! * jumping around happily *

The Trek 520s were a very nice bike for what we were doing. Water proof panniers for our gear was a nice free bonus. Lodging selections were perfect and they were flexible with our preferences. Our transport to the starting point was great. The not so good: One of bikes suffered a front brake mechanical leaving us to unhook the front brake and complete most of the ride without a front brake. Not really the fault of West Ireland Cycling, as it checked out fine before we left. The staff did follow up with us and make every effort to accommodate us - so this really isn't that bad or their fault. Overall, we would use WIC over and over again.

I emailed the shop a few weeks back to ask about availability and John promptly responded and was so helpful! We made it to the shop today and John had two bikes and a child seat waiting for us. He helped us find a nice route to ride and we had a great time. The shop is a really quick walk from Eyre Square too. I would definitely recommend renting bikes from there during your stay in Galway!

The first thing I noticed was the staff was friendly but more importantly, Shannon listened to me. He then started having me try on different shirts and pants. And while I tried on clothes went looking for more with my wife. Once we found the pants the tailor measured me and walked me through a fitting for each pants. The friendliness and expertise gets them to a 4. They get a 5 because while the pants totally were correctly tailored when I wore them real world the length was a tad long. They took them back and shorten them no question ask and no charge. They are definitely not cheap but then the lines of clothes they carry aren't cheap Tommy Bahama, Robert Graham, Cole Haan, etc. So if you need that GQ look there is no better place I know of in the Austin Area.
