Around 3 weeks ago I had an emergency dental situation, with extreme pain that needed immediate attention. I went in on Sat paying the after hours fee but grateful that a dentist was available. The issue turned out to be an abscess attached to the root of a molar tooth. So upon the options presented to me I went with an extraction. The soonest they could book me in was the following Tuesday. All went reasonably well (with the exception of an allergic reaction to the antibiotics than lead me to go into the emergency department Sunday night!). Dan the dentist did a good job, was polite and offered clear communication.
The lack of that one extra star applies to the fact my husband booked himself in after my emergency visits, for a general scale/clean - he turned up to the appointment and was waiting for 10 minutes before he was told that his appointment was actually cancelled and that they had tried to call me (?!) the previous day to let him know; now I did indeed get a call from them as they said, however no one was on the other line, when I answered the call I kept repeating hello, but to no response...I brought this up, but no clear answer could be given. This aligns also with my first emergency visit which was scheduled at a time that suited both parties, but the dentist was over 20 minutes late (which he did profusely apologize for); so perhaps communication and organisation could be the one improvement, other than that I highly recommend! read more
