Went in for an eye test and chose and paid for a pair of glasses. Week later went in to pick them up but the new lens were worse than my original ones. Told to try them for a few days as they "take a little getting used to". Had multi focal lens since they came out years ago. However I "tried" them over the weekend and returned to shop where after another eye test they agreed the lens supplied were an incorrect script. Sent glasses back to the mainland. Waited over a week and no contact so I rang the shop and was told the glasses had come back with another incorrect pair of lens. Waited again and after about ten days rang again and glasses still not arrived back. Had to do another trip to the shop for a refund - so after 2 eye tests, being out of pocket for over a month and over 400 kms travel and parking fees I still haven't got a pair of glasses - also no apology or explanation other than it takes time to have the lens coated. Except I wasn't having any coating on the lens!!! My husband went in January and also chose a pair of glasses and his health fund was charged. Three weeks later no glasses. They lost the pair he had chosen and his order was never placed - but they did charge his health fund. Told he needed the glasses and was leaving for a overseas holiday in one week. Glasses arrived on the day we were leaving. Perhaps I should have taken my husband with me in the first instance as his power of persuasion is obviously better than mine. Bought numerous pairs of glasses from this business since 2006 NEVER AGAIN. So much for customer loyalty. This business spends heaps on advertising and can't be bothered to look after regular customers. read more
