It's interesting to try something different from time-to-time. I recently participated in a work function where Devour was the Catering service and I was very pleased with the outcome. The staff is professional, the food was quick and delicious, and the service was fantastic! Devour Catering is definitely one catering company I would use again. With a few recommendations from friends, we still went with them based on Nicole Gomes's reputation. Needless to say, we and our guests were all blown away with the presentation and food quality. We were given many options for menu offerings, but what was recommended by them was amazing. They even accommodated to our last-minute change to swap out two menu items without any hesitation. Each menu item worked harmoniously with each other. The flavours were unique and very well balanced; each dish tantalized all our taste-buds! With both of us being big foodies, our expectations were high, but they definitely exceeded them! Jaclyn & Carey and their team were super accommodating and extremely professional. We only paid for one person to assist with the set up. On the day of the wedding, they showed up with a team of three! Their passion and attention to detail really shined through in every single aspect. They offered to do a site visit (which they don't normally do) but they mentioned that our wedding day is very special and wanted to make sure nothing was missed - indeed nothing was. They covered every aspect to make sure nothing was missed, offering dish and cutlery rentals and even event planning services. We already had booked our event rentals used a wedding planner...but it was awesome to know they cover those too. Wow..... Wow... Wow…read more... We had a team bulding event at work in Bowness Park in August, and All Beef Catering was hired to provide the food. Not only was the food good, but the presentation was unbelievable. Here's what happened.... We arrived at our designated spot at Bowness Park, and All Beef Catering was there with their staff all in their black, white and pink uniforms, in front of their big truck. They had a big table set up to serve us what was an unbelievable meal. They had baked potatos wtih all the fixings, baked beans, and roast beef served med-rare, medium and well done. There was also a few big tubs of soft drinks and bottled waters as well. When I grabbed a plate, I was amazed that it was an "actual" plate. NOT a paper plate! They brought all the dishes for our event. All of the food was delicious! The beef was amazing... cooked to perfection and the horseradish was firery and incredible!!! I passed on the baked potato, but I loaded up on the beans, and they were flavorful, savoury and yummy. The All Beef Catering Staff carved up the beef as people came through the assembly line and they also came around to all of our picnic tables and cleaned up as we were eating. They were polite, efficient, helpful and charismatic if engaged by any of our staff. Our event was from 5 - 7 p.m. after work, and just after 7, they were packed up, cleaned up and on their way out of the park without a trace. They never missed a napkin, a pop can or any scrap of garbage. All Beef Catering is a class act. Apparently they cater all sizes and have even done events up to 5,000 people. Our event had approximately 50 people. I was a guest at this event on behalf of our team, but if I am ever in the driver's seat of organizing an event that requires catering, you can bet that I will consider All Beef Catering again. There were no unhappy guests. Everyone got lots of food, and nobody had to lift a finger. They took care of everything.

We were bullied by Simply Elegant in to cancelling our contract. We have our event booked at…read moreWaterfront Parks (original venue at Skyline which apparently closed according to Simply Elegant) for July 2021 and they told us around 20 days before our event that there was a scheduling conflict so we cannot have the venue anymore on the date that we're suppose to have our event. They offered us a refund of the venue cost if we move our date, or move us to Venue 308 or Brownstone but with no compensation for the trouble, or full refund to cancel our event. We don't understand how they can double book the venue and choose to kick us out instead. Either they accidentally double booked or a bigger client wanted our date so Simply Elegant chose to boot us out, which was a clear breach of contract. We wanted a refund before (even just 75% of our money back) but they won't let us which I understood because we signed a contract but we asked them anyway just in case they will allow it. But for them to spring the news to us that we will not get the Waterfront Park venue 20 days before our event was so shady. They told us that there was a conflict with the Shriners which was a lie because we checked the Shriners website and they do not have an event at that venue on our date. We were left scrambling and we felt cheated and bullied by this company. We would be okay with them moving us to a different venue if they would just refund us the venue cost but they did not budge. They didn't even try to meet us halfway, they did not want to negotiate. We were suppose to have a skyline view, then they moved us to Waterfront Park which would have given us a lake view (so comparable to our original venue), but now they wanted to move us to another venue with no view - so we felt they should at least compensate us. Changing our date was not an option given how late it is already for us to ask our other vendors and our guests if they can work with that. We chose to support them during the pandemic but as soon as everything opened up, they chose to screw us over. I am 6 months pregnant and the emotional distress they have put me through is unbelievable - especially for a company that is supposed to be a champion in hospitality and client service. We decided to deal directly with the venue that they were going to move us to as I couldn't imagine them still holding our event after how they treated us. As soon as I told them that we would opt for the full refund (after us trying to negotiate and them not making any counteroffers), they told me that they will mail me the cheque - knowing full well that we need the money right away so we can pay the new venue and new caterer. There was no sense of urgency on their end. When we paid them they were etransferred so they received our money instantly, and for the refund they wanted to just mail the cheque. We ended up picking up the cheque and that's how our relationship with them ended. They're probably just going to delete this review....

I walked the 2 blocks to where it was parked after viewing their location and menu online. They have mac & cheese.....SOLD! A short but sweet menu includes their very unique version of mac & cheese made with truffle and butternut squash with a bacon, pumpkin seed and crispy onion crust. Also included are pork, goat cheese and herb meatloaf sliders, a garden salad (listed on the truck as the "Garden Glory Bowl". Guess which immature pervert was giggling at that?) and a braised beef shepherd's pie. All are $10 or less or a sampling of all 4 for $12. Go big or go home, so I went for the Sampler. The mac & cheese received first tasting. The experiment of mixed flavours paid off. It's fantastic. Just slightly below my favourite of all time. I wanted to dance on top of their truck with glee, but doubt they would have let me. The slider that was included was well-rounded in flavour and not dry at all like you run into with many meatloaves. I was inclined to do a slutty grind dance against their truck. Once again, doubt they would have let me. The shepherd's pie was a delicious try with juicy meat and great taste coming from the yam mash. You don't even want to know what I had in mind to celebrate this one. I'll be the first one to admit I love fruits and veggies, but for some reason I never feel they are complete alone without a dead animal on top. The salad was close though and very fresh with a terrific dressing. The farm girls (and guy) pulled off a terrific lunch that I would feel comfortable going back for again and again. If it wasn't for an overly healthy sense of adventure, when I roll up at a multi-truck event, I'd be tempted to not even give other trucks a chance. I'd see that adorable pink checkered truck side and I'd just go! This isn't food that mamma used to make, but it's the food that mamma should have made. Delicious flavourful cheese, plenty of truffle flavour, these unidentifiable crunchy things and bacon pieces as thick as they are wide. I can't stop thinking about those unidentifiable crunchy things and wishing I had some way of identifying them. I also tried there raspberry rosemary lemonade float with raspberry rosemary sorbet. Yet again, no way mamma ever made this for me, but why the heck not ma? This was great! The prices are usually up there in comparison to the other trucks, but Farm Girls really works hard for your dollar and is worth it. Some trucks seem like they're expensive because of the current novelty of eating from a truck, with Farm Girls, it only seems like you're paying for incredible food.
