She is AWESOME! Because I do not wear make-up on a regular basis (sometimes mascara, but that's it), I have had my make-up done by professionals a few times. Unfortunately, it always felt cakey, or WAAAAYYYYYYYY too heavy on the eyeliner and eye shadow to the point that I look like a sad, dying deer who's going out to the clubs. Roxana did a trial on me a few weeks before my wedding, keeping in mind the bad experiences I had had with heavy eye make-up. I felt like a movie star, but wanted to change it up to make it a bit more smokey (without too much eyeliner or shadow) and warmer colors on the day of the wedding. Folks, she didn't use eyeliner at ALL on the day of my wedding and still made me look awesome! The only problem I had was that my lipstick started bleeding onto my face by the time I left the salon, so my (cosmetologist) sister had to remove it and apply something one of my bridesmaids had with them. (I hear this could be fixed by not applying lip balm and applying lip primer instead *shrug*) Roxana, thank you for making me feel beautiful on the day of my wedding. I am SO grateful.

Before I went to Behnaz I was getting my eyebrows waxed, but I am so thankful I switched to threading. She is great at what she does, she is very kind, and the best in town by far. Whenever I leave after getting my eyebrows done they are symmetrical and very neat and look amazing. They keep their shape and look great for the weeks following until I have to get them done again. The pain is slight, but I prefer threading over waxing because it is gentler for me and due to the fact that I have sensitive skin. If you're looking for a reliable person and want to get into threading, I would definitely recommend Behnaz. As a heads up- her business is located inside Mirror Images Salon!

So this is a year + overdue... I saw Rhonda 3 times or so…read morelast summer for eyelash extensions. There are those that are true lash artists and those that jump on the bandwagon trying to make a quick buck on the trend...the latter is Rhonda. First thing-shes a smoker. So no matter how much she washes her hands...for your whole 2 hour appt her smelly, smokey fingers are going to be fully in your face/rested on your nose. Its beyond disgusting. I got my 1st set ever right before vacation. I had no idea what to expect-fully trusted her judgement. The whole appt she mentions how I need to clean my lashes for help them last. Ok no problem. At the end of the appt she realizes she is out of the lash cleanser (which she charges $40 for btw when it only costs her $17.. going back to shes just jumping on the bandwagon to make a quick buck.) I ask "what can I use as a substitute?" She said baby shampoo would work or not to clean them at all. Quote. She told me...not to clean my lashes at all... for 2.5 weeks until my next appt. I've heard of the term "lash nap"..never with Rhonda. I was so tense and on edge the entire appt. She does not tape your eye down correctly so you'll have tape poking your eye the whole appt(this was true every appt I had with her not a one time thing) so that's uncomfortable...she also is NOT gentle. At all. She has seriously ripped some of my lashes out-especially on my fills. When she cant get an extension off she mutters curse words and just rips. Every appt has been painful a good 10x per appt. She cusses a lot. She drops her equipment on the ground a lot.and then cusses because something got bent. She goes to the bathroom a lot(that one I totally get as I go frequently as well. But seriously if you cant hold it 90 min that's an issue) During my appts she has both stopped to text multiple times and answer phone calls. Her kid apparently had issues with the garage code?? Ok...doesn't mean you interrupt a delicate service your client is paying for to answer the phone 3 times. The TRUE unbiased review...I started going to Kim T from Rhonda. Rhonda had given me "mega volume" at least that's what I was charged for. I get to Kim for a fill 2 weeks later and she had to remove 80% of my lashes. And she said and I quote "I can't believe Rhonda right now..." apparently the diameter she used was wayyyy too thick for mega volume and she used wayyyy too much glue. Her fans were also only 3-5 when mega volume is 10-20 fans per she only removed 1 lash that was painful vs the dozen Rhonda wouldve removed that wouldve hurt. I do not reccomend in any capacity. Now I understand why she runs groupon/vagaro specials.she cant keep a regular lash clientele. RUN the other way and save your lash health

She applied hybrid lashes for me and made sure to check my eyelash health at each appt. The lashes and glue she used was of good quality. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 stars is because the last 2 appts I found that more and more of the false lashes were falling out by the second or third day after application (my natural lashes were not attached to it). The first 2 appts the lashes held up really well, so I'm not sure why that happened. I have not had the need for lashes since, but if I get them done again, I'd go here and be sure to bring that up with her.

I primarily planned my North Kansas City wedding from California. I was surprised to find that a hairstylist who would travel was one of the hardest elements to nail down. I really wanted someone to come to us so all the women in the wedding party could be together while getting their hair done, and because it was the most relaxing option for me. It was my day after all. As I searched around, this seemed less and less viable - everyone I found who was willing to travel was either ridiculously expensive, flaky, inexperienced, very dated, or some horrible combination. At the last minute, when I had given up my dream, had found that none of the local salons had the space for my large party on a Saturday with three weeks notice, and was almost in tears trying to find separate salons to take my out of town bridesmaids and other wedding party ladies my uber styled brother stepped up and saved the day with his stellar recommendation of Emily Holmes. Emily is an amazing hairstylist and I can't say enough good things about her! She is so calm, and easygoing. She is crazy fast with an updo and blowout, and her speed doesn't sacrifice anything! My wedding day is a blur, but I think her and her partner (Jen I think?) did 8 or 10 heads in about 2 hours! I couldn't believe it! That includes redoing my hair once because I wanted to be sure it was perfect. (I admit I was a crazy bride.) She was so fast, she even had time to trim my brother's hair the day of!! Best of all, Emily only charged about $40 a head. Most of the other places I looked at were charging $60 or more for each updo, wanted us to come to them, and said each one would take at least an hour. Emily is a gem!! Not only did the styles look great, they held! It was an outside wedding, and it of course rained. We took our pictures in drizzle, danced like fools, and everyone's hair still looked great at the end of the night! She is very reliable and professional. She responded to all my numerous text messages within a day (she works in a salon as well). She scheduled a second stylist to come with her to calm my fears of not getting everyone done in time. She arrived on time, brought everything she could possibly need, and had everyone done by the agreed upon time. I didn't take her up on it, but I know she is also connected with fabulous makeup artists who can travel with her.
