You do get to try up to five tastings of your choice, which was nice since you can double up on a tasting if you really enjoy the taste. Our guide was funny and did a great job providing the information. As far as the cocktails go, I did get a tasty mojito! The cool thing is if you arrive earlier to your tasting, you can bring the drink with during the tour. I love the atmosphere and really enjoyed the tour guide!

Recently had my first experience at The Del-bar and so enjoyed it!…read more The Del-bar is a supper club type spot in Lake Delton mixing up great classic cocktails and supper club fare in a chic dining room. For my cocktail, I got a classic bourbon Manhattan served up. It was pitch perfect. For my dinner, I got the scallops where were saucy and seared to absolute perfection (not something everyone gets right--they do). For dessert, my dining companion and I shared a slice of their peanut butter cream pie, which was, of course--a delight. Chocolate crust meets rich peanut buttery cream pie with chocolate sauce and chopped peanuts on top. Truly, what's not to love? Our server was kind and attentive throughout. Get to it!

Our table for two was not relaxing (and yes, we stated the special occasion for our visit when booking). There were constantly people brushing against our table whilst trying to get between our table and the next and around the servers. We didn't order any apps as we were hoping to save room for dessert. For entrees I went with the 8 oz filet mignon with béarnaise sauce, cooked medium-rare, creamy mashed potatoes, and clam chowder soup. My husband selected the 14 oz boneless ribeye with hash browns, and a salad with hot bacon dressing. My steak was phenomenal--cooked and seasoned perfectly, and so extremely tender--while the clam chowder and creamy mashed potatoes were nothing to write home about. My hubby loved his steak and was so happy to dine somewhere that properly cooks and seasons a steak, and he also raved about his salad and hash browns (he especially loved the crispy top of the hash browns). We did order a purple mouse dessert drink which was also yummy. Our server was very mechanical. The staff clearing the table and re-setting between courses cared a lot more and were way more personable than she was, but I get everyone has an off night and last night must have been hers. Will we come back? We'll see . . . we're off to Ishnala next.
