Pedicure wasn't absolutely terrible. I tried to let slide most things I found questionable. One thing led to another and the whole thing began to feel frustrating and super annoying. And WTF with the short attention span theater? Every time anything happened in the salon the technician would jerk her head in the direction and stare, which happened throughout the entire pedicure. And this meant she wasn't focused on my feet, leaving my nails uneven and lopsided. My manicure was atrocious, and it was seemingly deliberate. The technician didn't even phone it in - she didn't try to pretend to want to do a decent job. I don't have nice long nails. But I'm here on vacation without my own equipment. Since my cuticles started to crack they needed immediate attention. Yet I got none. No lotion or soap in the cold water. My nails were filed cooked. Left most of the cuticles hanging. Didn't oil the cuticles. Nearly put the polish on beforehand then snapped out of her stupor long enough to realize what she was not doing. Then put a pea-sized portion of lotion on my hands which didn't moisturize in the least and with absolutely no massage whatsoever. My 5-yo niece would have shown more finesse, experience, and enthusiasm. After showing her how crooked and uneven my nails and cuticles were on each hand, which she said she couldn't fix, I took the equipment from her and shortened and evened them out myself. I was so frustrated at this point that I nicked the side of one finger. Then she proceeded to tell me that putting oil on my cuticles would mean that the nail polish wouldn't stick. Since when??? Since never! I've had many more manicures than years she's been alive and have never had to choose one over the other. Gimme a friggen break dumbest thing I have ever heard. Really pissed me off that I spent $60 on such abominable service and terrible attitude. I could have chosen any other salon in the area and wish I would have. But I hope this serves as a warning to others not to come here.

We got our pedicures, and I went over to get gel X for my hands. The lady that will do my nails comes over and looks at my hand, LAUGHED and says you pick at your nails huh? Mind you, I had physics and biochemistry exams in the past week that made me very anxious, and unfortunately I ended up picking at my skin. Then she sits down and asks me the color that I want, and I tell her exactly the one I picked out with the exact number, and she scoffs and tells me that we have so many of those, and I was like, okay, and showed her the exact one. Then she asked me what shape, and I showed her a picture and described it, and she laughed again; she mumbled under her breath and laughed. Then I showed her another photo of what I wanted, and she laughed yet again and started doing my nails. Genuinely, I was in shock; I started tearing up because what in the world prompts you to laugh in your customer's face multiple times. Then I ask her to make my nails a little bit shorter because they were too long, yet again, she scoffed in my face and then proceeded to make them shorter. Then, after my nails were almost done and she was putting on the final top coat, my mom came over and showed me her nails (we got the same color), and the lady asked her to see it, and again SHE LAUGHED in front of my mother and me. Then my mom left, and the lady told me that she thinks it doesn't look good, like, okay??? Then, after she was done with my nails, I went to look at them, and EVERY SINGLE NAIL is a different size compared to my other hand. At this point, I did not want to interact with this lady anymore because she was so incredibly rude to both my mother and me for no reason. One thing that Lotus Nails should take from this, especially the lady who did our nails, is to be kind to one another; you never know what's going on in someone's life, you don't know what someone is going through, and a fun day spent with my mom turned really grey because of your employee. Please do better, I am very disappointed. You should never make a customer feel bad about anything they ask for when they are paying $150+ for services and being nice. I only hope that, in the future, this lady learns to be nicer to the people around her and learns and grows to be a better person. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back to a place that made me and my mom feel so unwelcome!
