I cannot emphasize how impressed I am with Hong @ Lash + Micro. Hong took the time to ensure perfection in every detail as she worked around my inability to close my eyes all the way. She was very honest and thoughtful when I walked in with a less than favorable previous set of lashes. I walked in thinking I wanted a Classic Initial Set but Hong explained that with my specific eye shape and sparce eyelashes that a mixed hybrid set would look better, and she was 100% correct. Hong made sure I was comfortable the entire appointment and she was a joy to talk to during the appointment. The wispy soft looking lashes are achievable! I can't wait to get fills in a few weeks. The team works together here! I initially reached out to Romelie on yelp for an appointment and she is prompt and quick to respond to any questions. Sarah was very kind when I called the salon and asked some questions after the appointment too. Everyone is very professional and kind throughout the entire process. I emailed Romelie a few weeks prior to my appointment day to set up the schedule, she responded within a day and was very kind and helpful in answering my questions. Romelie is truly a lash queen! I have been getting lash extensions by her for almost a year and would highly recommend her. During my initial fill she walked me through the process and help me decide what length and style would be best for me, which I super appreciated as I had never done volume lashes before. I have been going to Romelie for the past year for my lashes and she is truly the best lash artist I've ever been to! I've had trouble with my lashes staying on with previous artists, but her lashes have always lasted me a long time. I get a volume set usually and they always look so full and fluffy. Romelie is wonderful! Her studio is in the Sola Salons at the Northgate Target complex across from the mall. She is meticulous and detailed. I've seen her for a classic set and two fills now. Her schedule fills up pretty fast so book early! On top of it all she's a lot of fun to chat with while she's working. I have been seeing Rome for my lash extensions needs and it has been my sixth fill already. I loved the result of my initial visit(volume cat eye). She is great. Her attention to details really make the end result look amazing, she tailors the length & curls to the style I want and each fill would be different so it's never boring. UPDATE: After getting in contact with lash + micro about my lash lift results, Rome was very eager to fix my lashes and make it up to me. The offer was honest and the effort to correct whatever went wrong is very much appreciated. Doesn't sound like this type of reaction is a common occurrence. Original Post: I went to this salon to get a lash lift and tint a few weeks ago. The experience was good, I got a long very well with my lash artist. The process was much lengthier than other last lift/tints I had received. In the past, lash lift + tint from other salons take about 45 mins. This time, the process took nearly 2 hours. I didn't think anything of it, though. Maybe she just worked slower or maybe she is more particular about how the lashes lay. Whatever the case, I was not too concerned. But now, almost a month later, my lashes are crinkled, crooked, and falling out. I think she left the solutions on for too long. She left both solutions on for 10-15 mins. I have since learned from other lash artists that the first solution should go on for no longer than 6 mins and the second solution should go on for no longer than 5 mins. My eyelashes will likely all fall out over the course of the next 6 months. I don't like writing bad reviews for people, but I feel I must warn others to do their research before getting a lash lift from this business. I used to have BEAUTIFUL long thick lashes, they were just straight. Now I have thinning, balding, crinkled, and frizzy eyelashes that can't be fixed. ): read more
