I booked my first lash lift + tint combo ever with Sara and it was the best! I do have sensitive skin (eczema & rosacea) so I was worried about the chemicals, surprisingly my skin didn't turn red and I didn't have any allergic reactions. However, I did feel tingling and burning sensation during the lifting process but it went away after Sara flushed my eyes and the tingling went away after a day. Honestly, this is the third week and my lashes are still lifted and everyone has been complimenting. It definitely brought my eyes out a lot more and I am so thankful. Will definitely book appointment in the future!

I left my house thinking I'd be 10 mins early but, realized my mistake so I called and spoke to the receptionist who told me that I may only have time for one of the two services I booked. She told me to ask Nicole when I got there if she could do my brow wax in addition to my Brazilian so I did and Nicole said no and that she would not have time. She told me to get undressed, I told her I'm fast yet, she took what seemed to be 3-5 mins to come back in. The Brazilian went smoothly, I don't need extra care, and I don't make small talk. I went out to pay and no one was in the lobby waiting. The receptionist bumped my appt from 10:40 to 11:00. Nicole was done and I had paid at 11:03. I sat in my car and handled a few things to see if anyone came in the front doors. Not one client walked in. I left at 11:15. Nicole had PLENTY of time to do my brows. PLENTY. She was just being petty. To top it off, she had the nerve to get offended and drop an attitude on me when I didn't tip here. Was she actually surprised? Unbelievable. There are WAY too many choices for waxing here in San Diego for one of your employees to act like that. As a side note: the woman who answered my call at 10:36 when I was on the road to the store was very kind.

Azure is one of those rare people who is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She made me feel completely comfortable from the moment I walked in, took the time to assess my skin, and explained everything she was doing throughout the treatment. My skin looks brilliant, radiant, refreshed, and healthier than it has in a long time (early 40s takes its toll!) One of the biggest wins was that she was able to remove a ton of stubborn blackheads that had been bothering me, and my skin feels so much smoother because of it. She also gave me thoughtful, personalized recommendations for my skincare routine going forward without ever making me feel pressured to buy products. The space itself is clean, modern, calming, and with a beautiful view overlooking Balboa Park, which made the entire experience feel even more relaxing. If you're looking for an esthetician who is knowledgeable, genuinely caring, and delivers amazing results, I highly recommend booking with Azure. I'll absolutely be back and will be recommending her to my friends and family!

Being almost eight months pregnant, getting a Brazilian required extra care and patience, as I needed to take a few breaks due to discomfort/pain. Ann was very understanding and accommodating, which made a significant difference. She also made the experience much less painful than expected. Her technique is smooth, precise, and clearly demonstrates her expertise. It's evident that she takes pride in her work and knows exactly what she's doing. In addition to her professionalism, Ann has a warm and welcoming demeanor that makes you feel comfortable right away. I was so impressed that I went ahead and booked my next two appointments with her before my due date. As someone new to San Diego, I can confidently say I've found my go-to wax specialist.

I've been coming to Beauty by Dolly on and off for about…read moreeight years (I split my time between San Diego and North County), and at this point I truly wouldn't trust anyone else with my brows. I had a brow lamination and stain with Adanna today, and it was hands-down the best lamination/stain experience I've had. She was amazing - so kind, easy to talk to, and genuinely attentive to what I wanted. She was incredibly detailed, checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was happy with how everything was looking, and really went the extra mile to make sure I absolutely loved the final result. At the same time, she was super efficient and respectful of my time, which I really appreciated. My brows came out BEAUTIFUL. And Adanna is far from the only wonderful person here. Afsana has done my henna brows and is consistently amazing - they always turn out beautifully. Dahlal is also fantastic with threading. There is just a really high level of talent here across the board. I also have to give a special shout-out to Vetsa at the front desk. She is exactly the kind of person you want as the face of a salon. Whether I've needed to reschedule an appointment or had something I wasn't completely satisfied with, she has always been incredibly kind, pleasant, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making sure everything gets taken care of and that I leave happy. Even over the phone, she has such a warm and lovely demeanor. The salon itself is always clean, welcoming, and has great energy. What has kept me coming back for so many years, though, is that I know I'm going to be taken care of - and if something ever isn't exactly right, they genuinely care about making it right. Basically, if you have brows and would like them to look amazing, this is the place. Eight years later, Beauty by Dolly is still my go-to for all things brows, and I can't recommend them enough!
