This is the best laser tag and axe throwing location I've been to, and by far the most affordable. There are different game modes for the laser tag and a decent sized arena. Cyber sport is also fun, and involves riding around in go karts and shooting baskets with a lacrosse stick. Very silly. Very fun. You get way more for your money by coming here for axe throwing compared to locations in Rochester that offer only that. The cost is less, the duration is longer, and arcade credits are also included. There is a bar and they've expanded the food menu a bit over the years too. Members used to get a free truffle every time they came in, not sure if that's still true - haven't been a member since college. I only awarded three stars and maybe worth more to some others but for my experience today that's about the best I can do. My wife and I popped in just a place in arcade games and have a drink and the arcade games weren't bad We got a card with $40 in gameplay for 20 bucks. Most of the games range from a buck 20 to 80 cents, so we played about 30 -35 games. Got a few tickets enough to take home three chocolate candies lol, lindt for the win. Two drinks was 15 bucks which I mean is not horrible but Definitely not good. The game is really didn't have a lot of variety there was like four race car games all hooked up for motorcycle games all hooked up two shooting games bunch of basketball games and then some ticket games for the kids. I have watched laser tag establishments come and go over the years. So often, they start off as a big hit and then fade into obsolescence. Not Laserton. These guys have figured out how to keep the activity interesting with top quality equipment, a variety of games, and a well-designed game play area. We visited Laserton on a Monday night and had a blast playing the free for all game and the zombie game. Both games were challenging, fun, and interesting. Even my wife (who is not into "shoot 'em up" games) had fun and was a top scorer in one of the rounds. We ended the evening with eight scoops of gelato (The Flight) for the four of us. The Flight only cost $8, a great value. A Groupon deal brought us into Laserton and, if we find ourselves in Rochester once again, I would love to come back. read more

Updated review for axe throwing. It's a blast! Much more fun than I thought it would be. It's not just mindlessly throwing axes. There's a projector that projects games onto the wooden board that your aiming for. Playing the games and trying to throw accurately was super fun. Essentially darts on steroids. I would 100% come back. Only downside is if you don't have four people they charge extra. It's more or less a minimum of four people. We did it with two which honestly was really fun. Started going a few times a month with a group of friends. Its defiantly exciting and fun, I wouldn't do it a few times a week but 2 times a month works perfectly. We ended up getting the gold cards, even though we only go twice a month its still cheaper for food, beverages including cocktails and beer, and you get 15 minutes of free arcade play. Let's not forget you also get a truffle coin, and two games a day included with the gold card. The arena's are pretty fun if you're not a tall person. The arena to the left is not really equipped for tall people seen how there are to many low tunnels you have to duck under if you're upstairs. The arena to the right is my favorite. Countless ways to go that dont leave you at a dead end like the other one. More ramps to take to get upstairs and just seems like there is more room in that one. I love the other game arena they have as well. You're on a go kart kind of thing with a scoop and wiffle ball. Have to get to the other side of the court to throw the ball in the net. The food and beverages are priced really high, like I said before thats why we got the gold cards. the taste and quality is really well for being arcade food. The bar is lovely as well. They have many items to choose from. The staff was all in all pretty good. The reffs are extremely friendly. The girl at the food counter seemed to have had a bad day. Lasertron is awesome. It is targeted toward adults for fun. Recently attended an event here and the staff that we encountered were all beyond amazing, kind and attentive. They went above and beyond to answer our questions. The laser tag is pretty cool. Compared to LaserQuest, it is more costly, longer games, physical arena seems slightly smaller. Lasertron is very large and has several seating areas and a sizable bar. There are tv's everywhere and any game that you can imagine is likely playing on a screen here. Food prices are a little high considering the sheer number of restaurants in the area, but chances are that if people are playing here, then they are likely going to dine here too. We sampled a variety of foods. Among the best were the green bean fries. Can't wait to visit again and update my review. read more

I cannot say enough about Lasertron. I love love love this place and everything it stands for. The arcade games are fun, the food is decent (I've had the wings and quesadillas), and the drinks are good. At first I was taken aback by the refusal of cash and gratuity but I've grown accustomed to it. Their drink menu is on a mini tablet, which is kind of fun to use. The bar area can get super packed on a Saturday night so come prepared to wait a few minutes for a drink. I would recommend Lasertron hiring some waitresses to visit the tables for drink orders to help with this process. The laser tag is soooooo much fun! I've played in the sports arena and it can get pretty intense. You may go in thinking, "oh, this is fun," but once the game starts it's game on and the competition is fierce. One thing I wasn't prepared for was the amount of sweat that I produced. Do not go in there with a sweater or you will hate yourself for the rest of the evening. My legs are a little sore too from the ducking and squatting. I do like that the security guard at the entrance tells families that children are allowed in the building until 9pm; however, this is not enforced. This place can get pretty packed with adults and having little children running around does not provide a safe environment. They should not be in the bar area either. Parents: take your kids home at 9pm, it's bedtime for them...seriously. Regardless, I'm a big fan of Lasertron and plan on going again in the near future. read more

I have gone to this place several times with my coworkers and I'm a huge fan. Ambiance is clean and simple, with always friendly and attentive customer service. The food is decent for a sport bar and a little pricey, but the portions and arcade credit rewards make up for it. I recently learned that you can use your gaming tickets towards the purchase of food so that's a pleasant option for those that don't want to use their credits towards toys and trinkets. We primarily go for the laser tag, and we have a blast each time! I'm not sure if it's the environment or the alcohol, but playing with a group of strangers for laser tag always brings about a mutual synergy and feeling like everyone has been friends for a long time. I haven't had the chance to try the Cyber Sport section, but that will be next on the agenda. The arcade well maintained and it's cool that they actually give you a dollar value for playing instead of tokens or chips and such. I wish there was more diversity in their gaming portfolio to include billiards, darts, and rhythm games; maybe that will be put into consideration in the future. Went last night with a few friends and played laser tag in the Tactical Arena and then played a round of Cyber Sport. We had the most fun ever - the laser tag was 4 rounds. By the time I got out of the arena I had worked up a sweat. After going outside to cool down for a few minutes before the cyber sport game, I decided to get a drink. I went to the concession counter and asked for a tea and the woman said it was like $3 and some change (high I thought) and when I handed her a 5 dollar bill she advised they didn't take cash - just credit cards, or I could load money on the "lasertron" card and pay with that. It was slightly inconvenient but that's my only complaint. The cyber sport is pretty fun, you drive little bumper car things and scoop up a little ball and attempt to make baskets to get points. There is an arcade area, though I didn't play any games in it. There is also a bar area to have drinks and you can order food and it appeared it was a "seat yourself" situation for dining. There are also "viewing" areas where you can watch people play laser tag and cyber sport. I will definitely be back to have some fun with my friends and am even considering having a birthday party there! read more

My colleagues and I spent an afternoon at Lasertron as the "social" portion of our annual retreat and were SO pleased with the experience! As a group, we played a couple games of Cyber Sport, which was a BLAST, and then played around in the arcade for a while. There's at least one private party room, separate rooms for the games (Cyber Sport, Laser Tag, etc.) a bar/restaurant/seating area, and a large arcade. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, the facilities were spotless, and the opportunities for fun are endless :) We will very likely be back as a group - and I will absolutely be back to try my hand at a game of laser tag! read more

PRO-TIP FOR ADULTS: Go after 9:00 when kids aren't allowed. Otherwise, you're going to be awash in children. This really is a great laser tag place--decent arcade games, a full bar, and like three different options for group activities. I personally prefer the lasertag setup that was NOT the "tactical" version (e.g. attacking the base, rather than team deathmatch)--there was some 10-year-old kid who just kept DOMINATING me in the tactical version, and I think the non-tactical version is more forgiving and able to be enjoyed easier by players of all skill levels. I've always liked coming here to play laser tag and in the sports arena. It's nice to have a place like this because the only two places like this I had growing up was horizon fun effects and laser quest and I believe that they both shut down. What a great place! I try have loads of fun when I come here. I have done laser tag in the sport arena twice now and I love it. My competitive side really comes out with the laser tag gear on. The laser tag area is clean and still in new condition. It is great to see a well maintained place. Be sure to use your three special modes of you want to get points! Spy mode is my savior. You play four rounds so you play for a while and if you aren't in good shape you will Probably wake up sore the next day... They should add a stretching zone for after so your muscles don't cramp up afterwards. I have done cyber sport which is like a cross of bumper cars and lacrosse. Once I figured out how to get the car to do the things I wanted it to do it was great fun. I just wish the game lasted a little longer. The arcade is a ton of fun. Everything goes onto your little card so you don't have to worry about having tokens to play with or losing the tickets you earned. This also makes it easy to save up your tickets for a bigger prize. There are staple games like skeeball and basketball but then there are other fun games like throwing a ball at clowns to knock them off and beer pong. Beware you money will go fast with all the cool games to try out. There is a full menu of food items and a bar of you would like a drink before or after you play with ample seating areas. The seating areas also have massive tvs if you would like to watch a little bit of a game that is on. It is a little expensive being $18 for one attraction (an attraction is a game of laser tag or cyber sport) but they are always running great deals like 4 attractions for $30. I would say you should always get that. The attractions don't expire and you will save a good amount of money in the long run. Although it says this is where adults go to have fun, kids are allowed until 9:00 pm. I wish it was a little earlier especially in the weekends but that just means you have to wait until a little bit later to enjoy the adults only crowd. I came to this place for the first time to play laser tag with my friends. While we were putting on our vests and preparing to play, another party's member started acting out and even broke lasertron's rules. These actions took place as the man was standing right next to the lasertron referees. They were reading out the rules, and he was being your usual obnoxious drunk man. He was being loud, making sexual comments, and invading others personal space. As the referees went over the rule forbidding vulgar language, this man began making deliberate comments about "clapping some cheeks", said his vest was "number 69", and made sexually explicit remarks about myself and most other women in the room. My dissatisfaction is because of the employees lack of concern for this situation. They heard his comments, they were there as he repeated his inappropriate behaviors. Yet they refused to act. It took my guy friend chasing him down and singlehandedly calling him out then a separate friend getting security for anything to happen. This menacing customer inhibited our experience for 25 minutes before he finally got kicked out. I am very displeased by the security's hesitancy, and feel as if this could have been avoided if the employees did something when things started. I would not recommend bringing your children, daughters, or any type of woman you care for to this establishment, as their safety is not considered a priority. read more

Such a fun place to go! It was their "soft open" today and we went for a few rounds of laser tag. We played two rounds for $20/ person and got $5 credit to play games while we waited for our game time. Each game consisted of four rounds of laser tag which were five minutes each. We played on teams of 4 and had so much fun! The arena was two floors with great places to hide. The place had a decent sized arcade with games you can play for tickets to redeem for prizes. They also had a bar and a separate area to order food. From sandwiches, pizza, wings, desserts, gelato, and apps. Some of the prices looked decent others not so much. We got a water and two gatorades for $9. Eek! I also saw large nachos for $18 on the menu (they are meant to share with 6 people though). All in all a great place with something for everybody. I came here for happy hour a few weeks ago with some people I work with, and we had a really great time. Lasertron is not very "cash friendly" so just bring your debit card or credit card with you. Dealing with cash is a pain here.They want you to load more money on your lasertron card to encourage more in-house spending. This includes the bar. The bar was alright. I paid $6 for a Rohrbach's blueberry ale. They have wine and spirits as well. I think I might drink AFTER playing next time though, because I had beer sloshing around in my stomach when I was trying to be a ninja, and it slowed me down. When you pay for your games, they load the credit on your lasertron card. You pick a name, and get set up on the computers next to the cash register. They take a picture of yourself and pick a code name. There are set "play times" that are every 45 minutes or so. This is to make sure they have a full set of people to play each time, and to encourage drinking, eating, and arcade play in between the laser play. When you walk into the room where they teach you the rules, the computer randomly selects if you are on the green or the red team, and a number. I liked this in the sense that you don't have people running around together in pairs like LaserQuest. Playing on teams made it more intense. There are 4 rounds in each game, that last about 6 minutes. The more "games" you play, the cheaper it becomes. You can buy 3-4 games, and only play 2. The extra ones will be saved on your Lasertron card for the future. They have lockers that you can put your wallet/purse. etc in for free. You put in a self selected code, and then it locks your stuff. You just have to remember what locker you put it in. I am looking forward to trying the bumper car arena someday, but this was a great place to go with a group of people, and it is nice to know you aren't going to be like Barney Stinson against 12 year olds each time you play. read more

I have been a Platinum Level member for over 9 months. Yesterday, I was placed on suspension.There was no reason given. My entire group was suspended. When we contacted the establishment, they were rude and argumentative, and wouldn't tell us what was the cause. Eventually I called the franchise owner, Jim. He informed me, in no uncertain terms, that because three other players in our PRIVATE game (they joined after we had reserved) hadn't been able to keep up with us in gameplay, we were suspended for creating a "hostile environment for new players". The more we talked, the more I realized just how rude and disrespectful this man was... He stated directly that "members were a loss of profit", and that "It's my establishment, and my rules. If anything goes wrong, members will be held to blame." Those are both direct quotes from our phone conversation. I have been going for over 8 months, and have never had an issue with a single referee, nor have I broken any rules in my ENTIRE time going. I brought this point up, and after a lot of him stammering and backtracking, he informed me that I was "wrong, and it doesn't matter what you say", and changed my suspension into a permanent ban. I told him that the rest of my group would be leaving as well, and he responded with "That's okay, we have 2000 members, losing 20 or so is fine." Again, direct quote. I have never had the misfortune of speaking to a more arrogant person in my life. Remember, if you go... You only matter for the cash you put in. Don't expect them to honor you as a member, or invest anything in you. If the other players dont like you... Have fun with your ban! Absolutely appalling, I can't believe the management here. The games are fun, but the management is rotten to the core. Dave and Busters is much more friendly and inviting. Take your children and birthday-goers elsewhere. read more

Laser tag was really great. On the other hand, the server was really overbearing and didn't even attempt to be friendly. She acted as if we, as customers, were an inconvenience to her. Coolest place ever! Being near a lasertron may be actual grounds to move. When friends said we were going to play Lazer tag, I was excited but not as excited as I was once we were actually there. Arcade games, laser tag, cyber sports, drinks, GELATO...you name it and they have it! We got there and saw that a monthly membership was only $20 each for groups of 4 or more (which we were) which meant doing this saved us money to get the exact same stuff and then some. We signed up for a time for laser tag and a time for the cyber sport and grabbed some drinks while we waited. The place is quite large with lots of places to sit. Once it was our turn for laser tag we stored our stuff in the FREE lockers and headed in.The 10 year old inside me sprung to action--I was so excited!! You're randomly placed onto one team or the other and a "coach" lets you know what you need to do. My team failed miserably every time but I was sweating, felt short of breath and had the time of my life! SO much fun! After laser tag we had a little time to kill so played some arcade games. Basketball, skeeball, BEER PONG, some really fun games! Next was cyber sport and it just so happened that only the four of us were signed up for the time which worked out really well and we had SO much fun. You basically are playing lacrosse on bumper cars (but you are NOT to bumper each other--they made that very clear). It was so cool...and so difficult. You control the car with a little tiny joystick in front of the car with one hand and hold the lacrosse scoop in the other hand. Had a blast coming here with friends this past weekend. We got the monthly special which was 4 passes plus $10 in arcade for $30. We had a blast in the arcade as we waited for the cyber sport. Once we were called we had our own team against another team of 4. It was so fun!!! Driving around in a little bumper car while trying to shoot hoops with a scooper stick and a nervous ball. A blast! Next we went into the lasertron sport, wow what a rush! The game field is dark and lit with neon lightz. Red and green depending what team you're on, your side is that specific color. Once you venture into the opposite color - you are in enemy territory. Zapping opponents laser sensors and their home team sensor without getting caught was such a thrill.
