Well, after all the baguette, butter, duck and cheese I've been eating I figured I needed to drop…read morein to do at least one WOD on my vacation.
Dropping in was pretty simple, I decided to come by a few days earlier for a schedule but you can find it online. They have a crossfit class almost every half hour past.
Had to sign a waiver and pay my drop in fee (25 euros...ouch. Wished they had the option to buy a shirt instead...but they were out of stock of any tanks or shirts anyway)
The front desk actually held onto my backpack because I didn't have a lock, I thought that was nice. They had a women's locker room (I assume a men's somewhere, too) that had lockers, showers, and a hairdryer (saver!)
Anyway, I joined in on the WOD. There were two coaches. The main lead spoke exclusively in French but I saw the WOD written in front earlier so I knew what to expect and it wasn't that hard to follow along. It was a bit easier because this day's WOD utilized rows, burpees, plyo boxes, and running.
Through the WOD the coaches did come up to me to ask if I need any assistance. And many other students were nice as well.
I got a good sweat, took a picture with the extremely nice coaches, showered, and went on my way. I cannot recall if the showers had soap or not, I brought my own. No towels were available though.
Now the space could be an issue. The ceilings were quite lower than I'm used to and you're restricted with some space. I had to move around to do the burpees and move my plyo box so my partner wouldn't hit her head (she was quite taller than me) on a ceiling beam.
I have no idea how they can maneuver a snatch class with the space.
Nevertheless, this was a nice experience. Glad I was able to drop by.
