After visiting with my son after a lunch in the area, I get it. We planned to play in the arcade and maybe play laser tag later. The arcade was not well staffed. It's the type of arcade where many of the activities generate tickets to purchase things. We waited a while for somebody to come to the ticket redemption center, and eventually we had to go find somebody when nobody came. When we wanted to play laser tag, we could not see where it was. At the desk we were told it was in the "Rink Building". So we left the main building, and walked 5 minutes to the "Rink Building". It wasn't clear where the laser tag was. After failing to see it in the most obvious places, we ultimately asked and were directed to the top floor where there was an ice skating rink. We had to walk all the way past the ice rink to a mysterious corridor, where a worker sat alone in a thin hallway. It didn't seem like it could be the right place. We asked about laser tag, and we were told that it was the right place, but we needed to have a reservation in advance. It would have been great to know that, 15 minutes earlier, when we were at the main building and asked about laser tag. So the facilities seem bent to what the needs of the Sports Center are, rather than built in a user friendly way. And customer service seems an afterthought. I am unlikely to return. Two Stars.

I had never played paintball before I went here so I'm not qualified to compare Roadrunner to other…read moreranges but I can say that my group had a great time. Steve maintains an easy-going atmosphere and set up a whole series of different games for us that kept things very fun and fresh. It was great for beginners but he also told us about various places he's played (including 24 hour long games with thousands of people) that made me think he would do a good job hosting experienced players too. The equipment we rented from him worked well. The area for play is a wooded area with plenty of interesting cover and terrain. He explained and observed safety procedures throughout our session and I always felt safe. We didn't play Lasertag but he's also available for Lasertag parties, which is great for kids and he can do it at your house. One thing to know before you go is that although Steve operates under the auspices of the Overlook Golf and Recreation Center, you don't actually meet him at the place where you play mini golf or drive the go carts. The paintball area is on the other side of the property, and you drive in a different way to get there. It's not hard to find, but just discuss it with him in advance so you know where to go.

Geared towards the younger crowd, adults can partake in the play which was pretty cool. There was enough excitement from the various obstacles to provide a thrill, old and young alike. This was definitely the highlight of the entertainment center. Safety wasn't an issue and there was enough supervision even with the additional risks. There are many arcade games but 1/3 of the games seemed to be out of order for my trip. Not sure if that is because of the package my group paid for. Honestly most of the games were stale. The bumper cars were of the kiddie variety and used levers for movement instead of a steering wheel so it was a little less bump which takes away some of the fun. The overall drive space was smaller so the bumps were more like nudges. The scary 3D movie experience also didn't provide the thrill I was expecting. The aroma of buttery popcorn is very prevalent everywhere in the center, so much so that I swear it's on purpose to make you buy popcorn. The pizza was not impressive but I suppose standard for the course. During my visit the wait for the concession lines were really long. The floors were well cleaned and maintained which is a nice change from the normal food stained floors of most kiddie entertainment centers.
