I'm able to learn a lot from each session. For someone who has been learning painting from YouTube for two years, getting immediate feedback on my work makes a huge difference. Also, watching Inna doing demos are simply rewarding and nothing short of wonder. Furthermore, Inna creates an inspiring environment that makes me want to do better each time and also learn from each other. The class is both serious and fun. Although still new to the field, I now approach painting in a different and more principled way. Would highly recommend the class to anyone who is interested in pursuing art in any capacity.

Lessons have been focused on a wide variety of topics like landscape, still life, portraits, different techniques of painting with pallet knife, brush. You're welcome to use any medium as well! During this pandemic, Inna has been able to beautifully adapt to teaching online over zoom and gives personal attention, it's almost like a private class! I consider myself fortunate to have found Inna as my art teacher and I would highly recommend Art Academia to any one who is passionate about art and would want to learn and grow into an artist.

It's a really spacious studio with a kitchen, microwave and refrigerator incase you need to store any perishables for the party! We loved the whole experience and will be definitely back for more experiences like this.

Fast forward, I wanted my 8 year old daughter to be exposed to these technical skills that Digital Monkey provides. This summer she attended the classes Digital Design and Illustration and Intro to Animations camps with Greg and Ola. She felt comfortable right away. With a small comfortable environment, she learned so much and brought home great work in just one week! With her love to play games, watch YouTube and an interest to help me while I work, this camp introduced her to storytelling, art, technical skills, critiques, animation skills and more! Camps are fun, but what puts this at the top of my list is - not only fun, it taught real-life skills that can used through all types of disciplines and in her life. I don't believe there are any other programs that compare. I plan to enroll her in the next available camp.

I really appreciate how patient Elena is to young kids. My son has enjoyed his lesson tremendously and has grown a lot since then. Elena has a great selection of songs that are not only age and level appropriate but also sound beautiful. She takes her time to teach him music theory, improve his technique and most importantly build up his love for music. We don't have to ask him practice piano at home, but he'd rather play piano to us because he's so excited to show us his new songs, or to show us his progress, which is a beautiful thing to see. He doesn't just learn piano at Elena, I can also see him learning how to be focused, patient, how to deal with frustration when he can't play certain part of a song well, how to not give up, how to keep showing up and practicing. I can't put into words how much we appreciate Elena for teaching him all of that. Thank you so much, Elena!

Also, I am a Teacher (at a different elementary school), so my standards are quite high ;-) While working at Serendipity, I was able to get to know administration and staff on a personal basis. I got a behind the scenes view. The truth is that this school is as great as it appears to be. The teachers genuinely care about their students and are extremely talented. Meaghan, the Head of the School, is down-to-earth and compassionate. She deeply cares about the families and staff she serves. My son began Serendipity in TK. He wasn't a cookie cutter child by any means. In fact, he was diagnosed with ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder during his first year here. When I communicated this to the school, the administration was very supportive and worked with us to make his school year a positive one. This year my son is in Kindergarten and is thriving. His teacher, Ms. Kim, has embraced his many quirks (he loves to sing all day long..as a teacher myself I feel for her!). He has learned invaluable skills such as self regulation, perseverance, communication and self expression. My formerly shy child, has become an outgoing little person who is confident in who he is and isn't afraid to be himself. When you join this gem of a school, you become part of a family. It feels like Cheers where everyone knows your name :-).

There is an outdoor playground and one or two additional outdoor activities that they have set up. What I absolutely loved is that lunch and snacks is included! This is a huge plus for me as my kid actually enjoyed the lunch! I personally do like the idea of less structure and more playtime and exploration for the kids. They usually have one counselor assigned to each room/activity. My only suggestion is that for the younger children ages 4 to 5, they should have either a buddy assigned on their first day or an assigned counselor who will kind of ease them into the day because it can be quite overwhelming for a kid that age to navigate the campus if they don't know anybody there. For older kids this is a non-issue in my opinion. Overall happy with the experience and would be back again!
