Another place I can't believe I haven't reviewed…read more I want to say my first visit here was in 2016. At the time I lived in Columbus and was in the Ironton/Portsmouth area to see family and had randomly found this spot at the mall. Over the years I had visited both locations mall and the downtown Ashland location shortly after it opened. It's been a few years since I've been in as I now live 4.5 hours away compared to 2.5, but was in the area on Wednesday. I had stopped in and browsed and was even more impressed with my finds this trip in addition to what I've found over the years. They have everything from Kenner Star Wars to Han Soloflex POTF 90s Star Wars to MOTU to Thundercats to Power Rangers to Strawberry Shortcake & Movie Maniacs. Staff is great and prices are fair. Definitely another spot I always try to hit in the area.

They have great service, amazing things to look at (and buy!) and best of all, their pricing is reasonable. Love The Inner Geek and its people and service, thank you! This was one of the first places we saw, and as soon as we spotted a Spiderman blow up riding on a dinosaur inside, we knew we had to check this place out. They seem to primarily be about books/comics, but you can also find action figures, Funko Pops and trading cards here too! Everyone here is really nice... Love this store!

He continued to reach out via email 2 more times and never got a response or a refund. Terrible look for a small business.

Books are…read moreorganized by genre - history, children's, religion, etc. - and the staff was very enthusiastic to direct me anywhere I might be interested in. I personally thought some of the books were priced too high for their condition, but they were fun and interesting to look through. The shop is relatively small, but its layout has lots of little nooks and crannies that make it easy to explore for a good amount of time. Cozy, in a good way. There are lots of trinkets and dishware, and I was able secure several pieces of a collection for a good price! The lady who rang me up and talked with me most was very knowledgeable and kind. One star off just for some of the pricing and because I was charged an extra $10. The math is done by hand, and I trust it was an honest mistake, though. I didn't notice at the moment, but I trust they would have refunded me if I went back. I'll definitely be back and recommend!

She not only has nice items, but very affordable items, too. That is a rare combination to find nowadays. The owner is also very nice. I didn't need help with anything, but I watched her interact with other customers. There were a group of children there and she was very patient and generous with them. She helped them pick out the right tarot cards and stones. I don't see a lot of people who help out younger patrons (because they're less likely to buy) so I think it's cool she spent so much time with them. And yes, they did purchase several items. :) The downside was that I had to use the bathroom as a dressing room. It wasn't cramped though. There was a mirror and a place to set my clothes so they wouldn't have to touch the ground. I think they're currently setting up a dressing room, so this won't be a problem much longer. You can search for them on Facebook to see some of the unique items they offer. I wish I was in the area more often because this is a truly wonderful store.
