We ordered the fajita plate and a couple of other dishes; the meat was tender and well‑seasoned, and the sides (especially the rice and beans) were better than what you typically get. At Jalisco Mexico Taqueria the food is consistently good, the servers are are friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I ordered their barbacoa plate with homemade corn tortillas. I am picky about my barbacoa and I've had bad barbacoa and this barbacoa was close to perfection as it was spiced to perfection and not even close to being stringy or dry. My over-easy eggs were also cooked to perfection. Plus one ordered her usual migas plate and exclaimed that this plate was also fantastic. There was enough food on her plate to easily split and it was a shame that even with my assistance we could only finish about two-thirds of the serving. Service was on point as we never lacked water or coffee refills. I also liked that a variety of sauces were provided with our meal. If you find yourself in Kenedy go where the locals go-to Taqueria Los Potros de Jalisco for a marvelous breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
