My family and I have been a patient of Dr Bettencourt for over 20 years…read more When I saw the derogatory review from "Patricia T" review 7/6/24 I had to respond because what she said about Dr Bettencourt is very contrary to our experience and frankly inaccurate!! She criticized the Doctor about notifying her of her breast cancer diagnosis...would she rather hear from the Radiologist or his office staff? Should he call her in to the office for a visit while she anxious and having sleepless nights until the doctor can get her in? It sounds like the doctor immediately referred her out which sounds appropriate ...is he supposed call her weekly to see how she's doing? How would the doctor know she changed doctors? With thousands of patients he supposed to recognize she hasn't come back and call her to see why? As for the exams, Doctors usually see patients who have a problem and many times exams are not necessary. Does the doctor need to do a full exam every time he sees a patient? Is she saying that when her knee hurts, she wants him to look in her ears? This woman's comments seem unreasonable, detached from reality, unwarranted and inaccurate especially as they relate to his character. I can't imagine she saw the doctor very often to come up with such mischaracterizations. Sounds like another unhappy person displacing their feelings and deflecting. Her comments are not helpful for others who want to know who Dr. Bettencourt really is. Thankfully many others have chimed in who actually know Dr Bettencourt. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Bettencourt as a caring and professional General Practitioner.

Multiple symptoms, borderline tests were ignored with " lets address other things first" Now? I'm waiting for serious surgery cause my labs and symptoms spiked so drastically with excessive stress from intense pain. I just wish more attention was paid at the start. As for the doctor, when prescribe a medication that requires lab work first, and then prescribe that medication for a years worth renewals when you're supposed to have lab work done every three months before you continue the medication, this is when you realize you know more than your doctor about your own health and well being. Found a new doctor. Update: just had my first visit with Dr Davis and he is awesome. I'm a new patient and have yet to actually see the Doctor. He's been out on medical leave so understandable. I just saw his Nurse Practitioner and so far been prescribed a Vaccine that is less effective than the best on the market (had to have the pharmacist tell me this) still waiting for the nurse practitioner to fix this. Secondly was sent to their own Dignity Health Lab to be told that my insurance doesn't contract with them, which is interesting that I belong to Dignity Health and and Dr. Davis is one of their doctors. When I questioned why my husband had been able to go to the same lab, the office said "He will receive a bill for going there." Ah yes our issue because Dignity health and Dr. Davis staff didn't do their job. Between everything thus far I've wasted almost two hours trying to get my lab work done. Still haven't resolved the vaccine issue, and it doesn't appear I will get to see my actual Doctor any time soon. Time to find a new physician.

His cost ends up being the same as a copay and because he gets the diagnosis and treatment right the first time. It probably costs less than going to the other urgent cares in the area. Because they will order unnecessary tests to make more profits (and to help them figure out the diagnosis because they often do not know what they are doing as you do not see an actual physician).

I went to CVS 1/2 hour later and no prescription had been called in. They said it could take an hour. Went back to the urgent care and they said they called it in and would call it in again. Then had my middle name as my last name so confirmed it was called in correctly, they assured me it was. Went back to CVS almost three hours later and still no prescription was called in. After calling urgent care and explaining this all again they said they had the number for CVS then after confirming with her she did not have the right number and extension I gave her the number and it is over three hours later and still no prescription.
