The tostadas also come in both cold and hot versions. We tried several of the tostadas. The cold tostadas reminded us of ceviche and were seasoned in a similar manner. I preferred the hot tostadas though. The Caramel Tuna (tuna covered with chipotle dressing) and Argentina (octopus were avocado) were two that stood out as being very juicy. Definitely the best restaurant on 5th Ave! Went here with a group of 15 people all with very different sets of taste buds and this was the perfect spot! The seafood folks LOVED the tostadas and the price is 50% less than everywhere else on 5th ave. Most dinners we paid avg $50/pp but we spent $25/pp here and this was, unanimously, the best meal. The non seafood folks went for the steak and as a group of Texan meat eaters, not easily impressed, but that steak was impressive! Top 5% of steaks and again at a pretty good price. I came to one of these locations 3 years ago via my cousin's recommendations. It's a small place with white and blue decor. On a less busier side of LA Quinta ave. If you are a person who loves tostadas and ceviche, this is definitely the place for you. Ceviche isn't my go-to, but the ceviche they serve here is so unique and not like anything I've had in the US due it's creative combinations. For example, we go the salmón tostada, which consisted of salmon, avocado, cucumber, red onion, manos, etc. Also, we got the tostada de sandía. That was a unique one, consisting of ahi tuna, watermelon, red onions and habanero. These combos are so interesting and all the ingredientes pair so nicely. I was so excited to come back again. This is definitely something you should try, because ceviche like this is not common in the US Customer serve was also great. Very attentive, patient, kind, and can understand English (for those who don't know Spanish). But I always recommend you try speaking Spanish, it's much appreciate it and they'll give you the benefit of the doubt read more

Fantastic place for lunch! I had the Hamburguesa de Atun (tuna burger) and loved it. It's a thick tuna steak on a fresh bun with caramelized onion, gouda and avocado. The service is quick and friendly, with good English spoken and of course Spanish also. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, playing cool 70s music (not Reggaeton!!) and not too loud for conversation. I'll definitely come here again on my next trip through Tulum. read more

He has since recovered but we cannot thank the staff and manager enough for all their help in helping him, securing an ambulance, and even driving the rest of us to the hospital to meet him there. This was the home of my absolute favorite tacos in Playa! I am in love with the mar y tierra tacos. I always would come and attempt to take it to go but I ended up eating it there because it was so fresh and delicious. Their Wi-Fi also has a really decent speed when I had to do a little bit of work before going home. It's right on Quinta and off my favorite street, 38, so I could quickly walk to the beach or back to where it was residing. Their staff is great and they made sure to provide hand sanitizer before allowing patrons to come in. Definitely a favorite down there. read more

The fresh fish/shrimp ones pretty much tasted very similar, but I did like the seared ahi tuna one. They are all packed high with abundant toppings!! And very affordable. These folks have mastered their stuff which is TOSTADAS A Tostada is a Tortilla which is dried stiff - either fried or baked They put their magic food on top of the Tostada and this is where things gets interesting. There are regular Tostadas and then, THEIR TOSTADAS. A great Tostada does not go soggy on you -because you are having great conversation on the side or whatever- or breaks on you while trying to enjoy it, which is remarkable as opposed of -some other tostadas- you get from elsewhere. I have to admit there is at least another great similar tostada place we know in Playa but that is for another review As Sushi lovers, we love fresh salmon/tuna and this place delivers with great flavors! We call it Mexican Sushi but super reasonably priced I'm particularly out for of cold/spicy tostadas like the Koba but the hot Tuna Carnitas is really good too. Aguachiles are also worth mentioning. If you like Shrimp cooked in lime juice with spices, well you are going to like it. Plenty of stuff on the menu we did not try because Tostadas are our thing! However, the server demanded we give her 20 percent and I wouldn't mind however leaving her 15 percent was enough for her not serving us, not bringing us chips and salsa! She literally just took our order. Plus tipping is optional I don't think it was ethical of her to demand 20 percent, it really ruined the experience we had here!!!!
