I have to say, as someone of Mexican descent, I have had plenty of good and great Mexican food. Las Cazuelas is up there with the beat of them. The homemade corn tortillas were amazing and the cheese with the plate only added to the great flavor of food. The puerco adobado had great flavor and just enough spice to put the taste over the top. Had a great experience. This was our first time at this restaurant. My wife had Huevos Mexicana. Food was cooked to order with fresh veggies. I had a cazuela which is the creation of Chef Marco. It is a combination of an omelette and a souflee. My mouth watered the entire time I was eating it. This was an awesome meal. We split an order of pancakes due to wanting something sweet. Shouldn't have. Both entrees were more than enough to fill our tummies. Service as great and the owner/Chef, Marco greater us at the door when we arrived. Wow, this place is so great. It's definitely worth the drive out into the middle of Cancun. This was the best meal of our trip. Authentic and flavorful. Everything was delicious, and service was outstanding. Once we arrived, there was five parties in front of us, hostess gave us a number card, and we patiently waited to be seated. Oh and was it well worth the wait, sooo freaking delicious. Ordered a michelada to get my taste buds going. The order of retried beans and a side of cheese were to die for, paired with those freshly made corn tortillas, whoa! Was looking for menudo on this Sunday morning and yes they have a magnificent version, out in this part of the country is named "pancita", didn't know that myself, highly recommend! The birria de borrego w conzome was highly flavorful and tender. The fresh salsas were just perfectly spicy. The waiter was incredible, made me feel like I was eating in my grandmothers kitchen, he even served me more Pancita, this service beats any I received in Tulum, Playa and anywhere else I went on this trip. The prices were outstanding, I left feeling like I should of paid more. This by far is my favorite authentic mexican restaurant every time we go on family trips on a yearly basis. Forget all inclusive hotels, this is by far more savory. Easily accessible from the hotel zone on R-2 buses, all you have to do is ask the driver if they know where this restaurant is and bamm, you're there. Don't be afraid to try most of their food items, they may sound a little weird, but they are soo good. They serve all their dishes with hand made tortillas, so get ready for a food feast. read more
