This place was recommended by a couple of friends and what really intrigued me to visit is the…read more"Queso Fundido" that is only made with Goat Cheese. They only have 3 regular parkings spot & 1 handicap spot right in front. Pros: You can choose your own table which was good because we have a stroller. You can change things in your order (for example: they do not work fajitas, but I ordered a plate that is similar and changed the rice for soft corn tacos) Food is AMAZING! When I say Amazing I mean it has been one of the best Mexican places I've visited. Cons: They do not have Happy Hour on a SaturdayNight. The bathroom do not have a changing station soooo its either go to the car and change the baby or in the cushion seats. ‍ Not many non-alcoholic options aside of soda and Piña Colada so I just ordered a Perrier. They are SLOW SLOW SLOW- we were two hours in total there, but when we arrived & ordered our food the restaurant was not packed yet. We arrived 3hrs before the babies bedtime to eat and left past his bedtime... and the restaurant was empty when we arrived.. for me the biggest con here was that our server was the worst. He didn't come to get out food order, check up is everything was fine nor offer water. He took our drink orders when we arrived and pooof dis's appeared. We had to tell our food order to the bartender. I called him once when I saw him to ask if I could swap the refrito beans for guacamole which they did and then to tell him that my plate was missing the chips. They changed the guacamole and he brought an order of chips... When we get the ticket I was charged extra for the guacamole and the missing chips on my plate. I think the experience would have been better if we had another server. Someone who could offer a Mocktail and not just Piña Colada or juice. Someone who would check on us to know if everything came right and pay attention when we ask for something to get it right. And it wasn't that he was serving many tables alone, there was another server who actually we saw doing everything on his own. And lastly.. someone who know the menu and cam recommended at least drinks.. my husband had to walk to the bar fridge to see the beers because he literally did not know. The Queso Fundido had goat cheese incorporated; it wasn't only goat cheese so I couldn't try it. Terrible server, but great food. I'll MAYBE give it another try and request another server if we get the same one.

We also had watermelon margaritas and order some more food. Everything was really really tasty and on point.

Decor is what one would expect for a Mexican style restaurant but with a few extras like a TV and radio playing in the background. We really enjoyed our experience the first time we were here so we brought a friend back with us, especially to try the churros. But first we ordered some Posole, Enchiladas, and Flautas. All were delicious and filling. They had good flavor and were nicely presented. The refried beans and guacamole that the enchiladas and flautas came with were also very good. We also ordered some churros and these were wonderfully delicious again. Really the churros here are the best I've had in PR. Very good. I would have given this place a 5 star review the first time we ate here but I missed the opportunity. This time was slightly different in that our experience felt more around a 4 star quality as the staff was a bit distracted and not as prompt. But for the most part service is good, the food is very good, and again we had a nice experience. So I awarded the 5 stars. I highly recommend Casita Mexicana. Good stuff here.
