Classes are over booked requiring students to sit in the back without a desk for the entire day. People that missed classes and are a fill in are taking up scheduled spaces. It should be handled as a stand by program. Ex: ALL scheduled students should take prescience and if there is extra space THEN allow the fill ins to sit in. Also ... It's HOTT as heck in that room!! Especially frustrating when I'm sitting in the back behind teens sleeping at desk in front of me .., which I presume mommy and Daddy paid for their tuition. read more

Wouldn't consider taking my courses anywhere else! The instructors do their best to make the learning environment fun and enjoyable, which is a huge plus when there is so much information to cover and most of us haven't been in school for a while. The pace of the class is geared to ensure that everyone is equipped to pass the exam and the instructors are great about taking the time to answer all questions that students might have. As pointed out Larson is great about letting students re-take the portions of courses that they need to and as long as you arrive on time for the class you should have no trouble finding a seat. I went through the Pre-license course, in person. We finished up last week and I took my State Exam this morning. I have not had experiences with other schools, but Larson came recommended by a broker I interviewed before deciding Real Estate was the right career for me. I started with Larson's online course, which didn't go over so well because of home and personal distractions. With the realization that sitting at home wasn't going to work for me, I spoke with my phone tutor and switched to the in class course. This was a smart move. The instructors not only taught the course material, but brought their own teaching styles and personalities into the classroom. This allowed the instructors to keep from sounding like the teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It also made learning the material fun and engaging, which is a better style of learning for me. Not only did Larson prepare me for their exam, they really did prep me for my State Exam which I passed this morning. In the Army we call this a "first time go." The instructors said on a few occasions that Larson Ed is there for you and wants you to succeed. This was truly proven from what I saw. I was learning in the classroom with material and review info and at home through homework exercises, quizzes and an online tutor. Not only do I recommend Larson for others looking to get their R.E. license, I will be returning to them myself for my Post License and Continuing Ed classes. Real Estate Sales Course. July 16-20 The instructors are great and I was all excited about attending the school. Have had several realtors tell me Larson was the way to go. In class, not online. However, this week at Ft Myers Campus on Colonial the classroom has been completely over crowded. While it is nice that they allow students to make up classes they missed in a previous school session, they should not overcrowd the room of folks who are attending every class as scheduled. You need a desk or at least a CHAIR to sit in to take notes and take advantage of the money you paid with the assurance that you would have adequate seating arrangements. Those students having to sit on a stool in the back of the room because they were on time and not 1 hour early for the class is not ADEQUATE. Many of us have other jobs and children to attend to before school so not able to camp out 1 hour before class to make sure you have a desk or chair. Two teenagers sitting at a desk in the class are ASLEEP but those who paid for this session are on stools in the back of the room watching these students sleep. If I were one of those regular classroom attendees for this session, I would take the seat of the sleeping teenagers (who showed up today to make up a class they missed in a previous session and they are missing this one because they are asleep) when they go for their smoke break but they seem to nice to do that....I would for sure. This is ridiculous. If the room is not adequate, then cut the class size or get a bigger room or limit the number of "makeup students" or at least have the makeup students wait till start time to take all the seats reserved for the current session attendees...Like standby on airline flights. There is a way to handle this but Larson does not even attempt that at all nor really care....they just teach and you get it the best way you can....no classroom decorum. Great instructors...VERY POOR MANAGEMENT and hard to concentrate under these conditions. Very poor classroom management. ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY....CRAM AS MANY BODIES IN THE ROOM AS POSSIBLE AND WHO CARES IF THEY LEARN AS LONG AS LARSON GETS THE INCOME. OR PERHAPS THIS IS A PLOY TO MAKE SURE THE STUDENTS HAVE TO TAKE THE COURSE AGAIN....MORE BUCKS FOR LARSON???? If nothing else we will learn how to be Sardines. July 18, 2018. read more
