I brought my bike in for what I…read morethought was going to be a routine service and hopefully, an intermittent issue that I had been dealing with for years would be addressed, instead of hearing the usual, "we weren't able to replicate the issue, so we don't know what you're referring to." Along with the usual service checks, their initial thought that I was missing a jet kit was correct. They also discovered that one of the diaphragms was damaged and sorted that out. Bike sounded great, ran great, job done. But, lo and behold, the damaged diaphragm wasn't the cause of the intermittent issue. Back I went, and wouldn't you know, my bike didn't misbehave at all in their care until I went to leave. Finally, a mechanic heard exactly what I had been trying to explain. So, back to work they went trying to chase down the problem. This was such an intermittent problem, they thought they had found the cause and fixed it. And once again, it reared its ugly head as I was about to leave. So back to work they went, once more checking everything over. After much head scratching and working through the usual culprits, the source of the problem had been isolated and addressed. I'm back on the road, and the bike no longer has an occasionally missing cylinder. Now the only question for me is, how far down that rabbit hole do I wish to go? I honestly can't recommend J&D cycles enough. When most bike shops only wanted oil changes or wouldn't touch a bike more than 10 years old (really??) J & D said, "Bring it in." I had an idea as to how much this was likely to run. What I was expecting it to cost and what it cost me in the end wasn't the same, it came in a little under what I thought it was going to cost me, so again, thank you!

Jody, the salesperson was fast and informative in the numerous questions I had on the bike. I showed up in the morning, signed the papers and was out of there within the hour. Spent the next two and a half days riding home, hoping the bike would perform as expected. It did. Very happy, needless to say with the experience there.. My only complaint is that they didn't list all the extra features the bike had already had installed... not a bad thing at all! Thank you Jody and moto authority.

If your bike is for sale at Moto Authority and HAS NOT SOLD one reason might be the outrageous…read moredocument fees the new owners are gouging buyers with. Buyers are going to pay NM excise tax on the purchase price of the vehicle and registration fees no matter where they buy a vehicle BUT at Moto Authority buyers get gouged with an excessive document fee for Moto Authority making the trip to MVD. Moto Authority gets a commission for selling your bike and on top of that they gouge the buyer with an excessive document fee for their time. They should be satisfied with the commission on the sale of a bike they have no money invested in. They do provide floor space to display the bike and their overhead and operating costs are real BUT the sales commission should cover the trip to MVD. Moto Authority says that "For Over 17 Years: New Mexico's Preferred Choice for Motorcycles..." BUT that reputation was built by the old owner. The new owner(s) acts like a car dealer with inflated after the sale fees. When you want to sell your bike the smart move is to spend $5 and advertise your bike on Craigslist. The buyer will pay you directly and you won't pay commission to anyone. Then the buyer goes to MVD to pay the tax and registration fees without paying a document fee. That's MORE money in YOUR pocket and more money in the buyer's pocket. 10/11/25 EDIT to the owner: Your "document fees" are excessive and that is a FACT. If your consignment customers don't list their bikes on Craigslist and keep more money in theirs and the buyers pockets then they deserve what they get at Moto Authority. Your "pride" in your document fees won't get you what you think. I supported Moto Authority in the past and always got a fair deal from Steve but I wouldn't buy a quart of oil from you.

I pulled in 10 minutes to closing time literally with almost no electrical power left. They quickly diagnosed the problem for me and took down my personal and warranty information. They took me to a near by hotel for the night and by the time I returned in the morning they were already half way done with my repairs. I took in my 2019 F750 GS for an annual service. I bought this bike from Sandia back in 2019…read more I was told that the service involved flushing the fluids on the bike (oil and hydraulics), and I was prepared to pay for that exact service. Also, the cruise control on the bike stopped working and I asked them to fix that as well. It turns out that the shop basically changed the oil and filter, inspected a few things, and cleaned and lubed the chain -- and that was it. There was no mention of hydraulic fluids on the invoice. I had already changed the oil and filter myself back in November and hadn't really ridden the bike much since then, so really, there was no need for them to do this. I had told them that when I dropped the bike off. The labor cost was nearly $200. For an oil change. Serves me right for going to the dealership, and I won't make that mistake again. The ride home was as eye-opening as the bill. The quick shifter on the bike does not now stay in 1st gear; it slips to neutral without touching the shifter or the clutch upon anything but extremely gentle acceleration. I was *almost* unable to get out of their parking lot since it's a fairly steep incline to exit onto the frontage road. Also found out on the way home that the cruise control does not work, even though Leigh assured me they had fixed it without charging me. I very nearly turned around and went back, but since I do not live in Albuquerque, I wouldn't have been able to get home (my ride had dropped me off and went on to do their own things.) I am very, very disappointed with BMW Sandia. I will not ever go back, and I will not be recommending them to others. I am out over $300 for essentially nothing.

I wanted an alignment that was a little more aggressive than a standard setup for street driving as the plan is to at some point...when I have time...to start doing track days. The cost for the alignment was on par with any other shop in town but I would absolutely classify Keith as an expert. Keith warned me about tire wear and what to watch out for with the alignment I went with and pointed me in the direction of alternatives to SCCA in the area My understanding is this is THE shop to go to for Miata owners and Miata is always the answer so regardless of the type of Miata you drive trust that Keith is going to hook you up. He gave me his assessment of the existing struts/shocks and then his recommendations on work to be done. The work was done exactly as he described, though I was a little surprised at the price - $1800 for new struts/shocks, an alignment and tire rotation/balance, $700 of which was for parts, the rest for labor. Since I rarely take my truck to the shop, maybe I'm just out of touch on how much shop labor costs these days. Despite some sticker shock, I have no complaints: Keith was a pleasure to do business with. (One note: Keith charges a 4% service fee for credit cards, so if you want to avoid being surprised by a hefty service charge bring cash or check. He does not advertise this fee aside from a sign on the wall, and did not mention it until I noticed it on the invoice. So be ready for that.)
