I moved from NYC in August. I chipped my veneer last month and needed to find a new dentist…read moreimmediately. Dr. Knight is seriously the most amazing dentist I have ever met. She and her staff are so happy and uplifting. You can tell they truly love their work. They make you feel completely safe with all of their Covid-protocols. They make you actually enjoy the dental procedures because of their nurturing personalities. And I have to admit one thing: I had fun watching them repair my tooth. I now have a new veneer that looks glorious. Dr. Knight fixed my bite meticulously, which was a tremendous task considering how precise she had to match the other veneers done by the great NYC dentist I previously had. Her high-tech office made the procedure efficient, pain-free, and fun. My smile is amazing. My bite is perfect. I found my new home in Doylestown. I found my new dentist in Dr. Knight. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. I might be a jaded New Yorker, but I know a pro when I meet one. If you are avoiding dental work right now because of a fear of Covid or even a fear of dentists, then RUN to Dr. Knight. She will squelch all those fears in just one visit. Feel free to contact me if you want proof of my procedure or if you want any other details regarding my experience. I am more than happy to share with everyone. Thank you, Dr. Knight!! Michael C.

I've spent nearly $35,000 in the past 20+ years. I had a Delta dental plan for most of the time…read more Besides cleanings and fillings, I had Partials, precision snap in partials, a bridge crown cluster upper. I did everything I could to keep my teeth clean, using floss threaders and a water pic in addition to brushing. I couldn't go a year without something extreme happen. Always a dying tooth under a crown. After a 6 month checkup, at home that night using floss threaders, the floss passed through from one tooth to the other on my lower crown cluster with 5 teeth on. Clearly a rotted tooth but it wasn't noticed by the hygienist. After some time i decided after nearly 20 years, to seek a second opinion by a specialist who told me my teeth were falling apart under the crowns because they were not made right, not close enough to the gum and therefore the teeth were exposed causing a slow and extremely expensive death. I could write all night on here of the anguish and the agony I was put through, but one of the worst experiences I had was being sent by this dentist to a surgeon to remove my bottom teeth and the surgeon did so WITHOUT gloves on. I hadn't noticed until he was finishing up, and being traumatized by the whole experience it didn't register until I was home. I told Rakowsky the next day, so he called the surgeon and the surgeon admitted to it, saying in his defense, he sometimes forgets to putting them on moving from room to room. Four years later I lost all my uppers. What's really interesting is the amount of money they bill the insurance company, especially for the dentures. The first set of immediate lower dentures I had made looked like something you'd buy at the Halloween store and the insurance company was billed nearly $3,000; what you'd expect to pay for premium. I was on the hook for most of that. They were so bad, poor fit dark in color and glue marks. They were embarrassing. I insisted immediately that they be remade, and on that occasion they were. Same goes for the uppers 4 years later. All my teeth are gone and all the partials, bridges and crowns I've purchased over the years are in the trash. Friends of mine and others over the years would tell me to stop going to him but I remained loyal and trusted him like a fool. I would come on Yelp occasionally to check if anyone had written a review on this cl*wn, and there never was a single review. I thought for sure I couldn't be the only one that took issue with him, and if he was soo good at what he does, why isn't anyone praising him in the over 30 years he's been a dentist. So my recommendation is a definite No. You'd be better off going anywhere but here.

Disappointing, Untrustworthy, and Focused on Sales Not Patient Care…read more I was deeply disappointed with my experience at American Dental. This is not a professional dental office it feels like a high-pressure, profit-driven operation, more focused on upselling than on genuine patient care. My longtime dentist and close friend, who recently passed away after a long battle with cancer, always provided honest guidance and transparent care. I trusted his judgment completely. This was my first visit to American Dental, and they handed me a "Treatment Plan" totaling $8,340 for procedures my former dentist never mentioned. If I truly needed that level of work, he would have discussed it with me. The hygienist spent maybe ten minutes cleaning my teeth, and I had to ask for the gingival margin measurement myself. The cleaning was so rushed I ended up having it redone. The hygienist seemed far more interested in selling me a fluoride treatment than in performing a thorough cleaning. The office did not feel especially clean or hygienic, which is concerning for a medical setting. After decades of excellent dental care, this was a shock. If my former dentist was the Bentley of dentistry, this place is the 1978 Pontiac -- and not a classic, but a dented, rusted one. Proceed with caution.
