I will never shop anywhere else other than Taylor Flooring. I went into this store looking for some quotes on carpet. My cat tore up carpet in the home that I was renting and when my lease was up in the home, I had to replace the carpet. I shopped around for weeks looking for the right deal. I didn't want to invest too much money as it wasn't my home but at the same time, I wanted to get something equivalent to what she had. I went into the store and was blown away by the wonderful help I received. They helped match carpet almost identical to what was there previously and they also get me a wonderful deal. I ended up finding carpet and including the installation, it was only $600 compares to the other quotes of $1200+. I was so pleased with the service, quality and price, that I wrote a thank you letter to the owner expressing my satisfaction. I highly recommend this location!

They have a wide variety of floor styles to choose from, ranging from basic carpets, to ceramic tile, to classy hardwoods, to quality laminates that you'd swear were the real deal (LOVE the Armstrong brand laminate!!) There are quality floor options for virtually every price range. If you're dealing with any of the friendly staff, I highly recommend Michelle- not only is she great to talk to, she's great at providing interior design ideas (when I move in to my new place, I need to paint a few rooms- Michelle suggested beautiful wall colors that will coordinate with my new floors and countertops. Fab!!) Bottom line: for quality floors and quality service, stop by Taylor Flooring

His professionalism couple by his pleasant nature made him a pleasure to deal with. The flooring installers did a beautiful job with the engineered hardwood, ceramic tile and vinyl flooring. We asked them to replace a few tiles and boards that were not to our liking after they had done the install. They were replaced flawlessly and without complaint. We couldn't be happier with the results. Daryl was our point person on the stairs. He understood exactly what we wanted for our cable rail system and overall look. His very experienced installer, Gordie, completed expertly crafted stairs. It is not to say that there were no bumps in the road, but they were handled without complaint and the end result exceeded our expectations. Thanks to everyone at Vintage who played a role in making our new home so beautiful. Your work is much appreciated!!! Lynda and Peter

Vintage flooring has been BY FAR the best service with prompt responses, easy to access staff, knowledgeable guidance in decision making and quick delivery despite the impact of COVID on product and delivery times. Burnside

Last June, I had a section of our hardwood flooring replaced on the main floor of our house. We…read moreopted for a darker colour of flooring with the intention of staining the remaining flooring to match and went with one of your products. The flooring was installed by Taylor Flooring in Dartmouth. Immediately following the installation, we were happy with the initial results. The staff at Taylor Flooring were great to deal with and the product looked really nice. Unfortunately, within about a week we started to notice that many of the boards were peeling on the edges. It seemed really strange and although disappointing, it wasn't a huge issue. We have a number of dogs so expected that the floors wouldn't stay perfect. As time went on, we noticed more and more peeling. There didn't really appear to be anywhere in particular that this was happening; it was in the traffic areas, but also in low traffic areas. By the time January rolled around, there were a few areas that were really standing out as issues. At this time, we decided that we were going to connect with Taylor Flooring. In March we sent a message attaching photos of the issue and was then forwarded to the warranty department. An employee from Taylor Flooring came to the house, looked at the flooring and took some samples. A number of weeks later I received a notice that the manufacturer had indicated that they had not received any other claims on that flooring finish peeling and that they had determined that our peeling was due to "environmental causes", which couldn't be explained. As this peeling began happening within a week of installation, I presumed the environmental causes they referred to are regular family use, which seemed unacceptable. The employee from Taylor Flooring noted that they could send another technician out to see if there was anything that Taylor Flooring could do. After that visit, they determined that there was nothing they could do to repair the flooring. It was mentioned that the cause of the damage was from water. The problem with this is that I do not use water on the floors. Even if I did (which I do not), should hardwood flooring look like this once touched by water? If so, it is obviously not a very good product. We have hardwood flooring throughout the remainder of the first floor, and have never seen this type of chipping/peeling before. The reasons given to associate the damaged flooring with environmental factors (i.e. water) remain unclear and I am not satisfied with the transparency of the process or the unwillingness to substantiate claims made to date. The fact that both the manufacturer (Preverco) and the installer (Taylor Flooring) have decided to blame faulty flooring on water is mind boggling. I wish I could say that the service we received from Taylor Flooring at the pre-purchase stage continued through once they received payment. Unfortunately, it does not. I am very disappointed in their lack of concern over this product's durability and am doubly concerned over their need to blame the normal household usage for the immediate damage that occurred after installation.

First I delayed installation because I was waiting for one kind of tile to arrive, to find out 3 weeks later it was here all along in their warehouse. Then I booked an installation and stayed home, only to have them call me that day to say the other tile that they thought had arrived 6 weeks ago was actually still in Toronto. Today I stayed home and had the installers show up, this time with the wrong size tile. It's still not clear to me if the wrong product was ordered or the wrong item shipped. But I'm told the best they can do is ship it on Dec. 23rd. Taylor seems to have no system to track orders. I couldn't be more disappointed with their response, which has been to blame it on their supplier. That might account for one mistake, but not for the constant string of problems I've encountered.
