Came into town to conduct an appnt w/ an applicant. Little did I know Abingdon is a dead zone if you have AT&T. Disappointed and frustrated that I wasn't able to use my hotspot I still decided to keep my appnt and conduct it there since I read about the reviews on Yelp the night before. I ordered a pizza and drink for me and my applicant and when the owner heard about my hotspot issue he graciously came by the table and supplied me with his WiFi password. Saved the day! Not only was I able to finish my interview but I also had an amazing pizza to go with it. Friendly people all and all! I've consistently been eating Pizza from here since I was a kid and I've not ever found another pizza that's tasted the same. This time I had the regular crust pepperoni and some cheese garlic bread. My aunt and sister had the supreme submarine sandwich and a pan crust ham pizza. Mine was cooked to perfection with the right amount of pepperoni. The garlic cheese bread was great. Nice warm cheese and fluffy freshly baked bread. My aunt said the sandwich was great and had fresh ingredients. My sister devoured most of her pizza in just one sitting if that tells you how hers was. The pan crust is just as great as the regular crust, you really can't go wrong with either. Overall I highly recommend this place. I've never had a bad or mixed up order from here, the staff is always incredibly friendly and the food is phenomenal. I recently moved to Chicago and still make an effort every time I'm back visiting to stop by and take a pizza to go with me it's just that good. read more

Let just start by saying I have had Pizza from all over the place and nothing beats Laromas!!! This is truly the Best kept secret that Abingdon Illinois has. Best pizza joint in town :). Ok, maybe it is the only pizza joint in town but it's still the best! Not only does LaRomas serve Pizza, but they also serve spaghetti, lasagna, a few hand crafted salads, and numerous other specialty dishes. Each absolutely delicious and zero calories ( if you run a 5K shortly before eating:) ). I highly recommend you check this place out... You won't be disappointed. read more

IMPORTANT! They do not accept credit cards. Wish someone would have mentioned this in their review or on other FB pages I have seen chatter about this pizza, it would have saved me a lot of wasted time. It was a 40 minute drive for us. We've heard a lot of positives about the various pizzas here. We carried out garlic bread, a thin crust pizza and a stuffed pizza. I preferred the stuffed over the thin. Both pizzas had good, fresh toppings but the stuffed delivered more of a tastiness. Crust flavors were just ok, could have used more of a bread tastiness to the stuffed and maybe more of a cracker tasting to the thin crust. There was some cheese in the actual crust of the stuffed pizza. Not cool, not a "stuffed pizza" thing and too reminiscent of the "Pizza Hut" originator of that odd add-in. The garlic bread was fine but could have used a bit more butter and garlic. We probably wouldn't take the drive again unless we were in the area. read more

Very good place to eat, if you are in the Abingdon Area, then you probably know about Laroma's and if not you are missing out, I have had their pizza, pasta, and sandwiches, and love them all, I do like how they cut the pizza, and how delicious it tastes. I would give a 3.5 if we could give half stars but I am going to stick to a 3. The food is very good. The pizza is excellent. Nice and crispy on the bottom and chewy in the middle. Nice variety of toppings. Prices on pizza are decent. Pasta dishes are okay but pretty small portions for what you pay. But, the place is a DUMP. I don't think it has had an update in decades. The furniture is worn and doesn't match. The family that runs the place can be very "abrasive" to customers as well as workers and they don't hesitate to correct the workers in front of the customers, something I hate!! The waitresses are generally local high school girls so they are friendly but not overly great at their jobs. I have had a couple of exceptional ones, however. Perhaps take out is a better option here....dining in is not the greatest experience! read more

Best pizza I've ever had in my life, bar none. Better than the Bronx. It's better than Lou Malnatis in Chicago. Dominic can hook a pizza up like right now, as can Mauricia. I've eaten pizza all over the USA and it's the best every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Plus, the prices are VERY reasonable. I eat here every time I make it back home. read more

SUPER disappointed in my pizza tonight. Ordered 1/2 BLT and 1/2 Deluxe. BLT half was missing most of the toppings...no Mayo, Lettuce or tomato. Wasn't even sure what meat was on it - pizza was cold when delivered so it was hard to tell there was just some kind of meat and cheese. Called La Roma's to tell them and they sent a delivery person to look at it. He very sincerely apologized and said he would relay our request to make a new pizza not just add some toppings - it was already very cold and we didn't want them to just warm it up. They sent it back with items added after warming it up. Now the edges and crust are burnt and the BLT side is very unappealing. We order a pizza 1-2 times a week, spending nearly $30 per order...so easily $50-$60 per week. Can't believe I have done this for nearly 30 years and La Romas would not make this right. I know that in the business that my husband and I both manage we certainly would never want to lose a lifetime loyal customer because of one item we did not deliver to expectation and refused to make right. Needless to say - it makes us want to drive 15 minutes to another town to get pizza from now on. read more
