I really love this park. Despite it's small size it boasts quite a varied landscape, featuring a massive field, some little hills, and little pockets of planty areas.
The park has it's own pub (The Sunrise), an outdoors gym and an allotment, which Lambeth Council get the local community involved in.
I seem to spend way too much time either at home or in it's immediate surroundings these days. I live on the South side of the park. Standing in the middle of Larkall Park and looking out to the North East I can see some of Vauxhall's tallest buildings. Though I can't see them I am always aware that the River Thames is right next to those buildings. Literally a road away is the Houses of Parliament. Westminster Abbey. Those buildings of such incredible significance both for world history and world politics. When I look at those Vauxhall high rises I truly cannot help but feel humbled...
That said, I will come back and raise the star count to 5 when Lambeth Council finally get around to oiling the equipment on the outdoors gym, haha. For now, a fantastic four (would have given 4 and a half if possible).
