My son has been seeing Ms. Melanie successfully for over 3 years. I remember being pregnant with my daughter when I would bring my son to visit Ms. Melanie. We love the space on so many levels. Mermaids having wall clock was cool. The entire themed wall was also a great touch. The interior is 100% accessible. If you need a ramp to access the sidewalk there is one to the right at the end of this building. Which was no problem with us, as my husband is in an electric wheelchair. We also received a first hair cut and picture and a trimming piece of my daughter's hair. From her first hair cut. My daughter had such a great experience, requested that we return to the kid salon the following day. We will definitely be back, not immediately like the next day lol, but definitely in a couple of weeks.

I went home and did my research and found out they do perms! I saw some reviews and reached out to see if they would be able to take me in. They responded promptly and I was able to come in right away. I want to preface by saying I had a conversation via text about what I wanted and the health of my hair. There were inspiration photos as well as photos of my hair to get a gist of things. But overall, it was discussed that it was possible to get the outcome I wanted. That being said, I went to the salon and got my perm. It was wavy but not as curly as I wanted. I left a little disappointed. But, paid and went about my day. The next morning, I woke up and my once wavy perm was just flat. I reached out to the salon to see if we could re-perm my hair because I wasn't quite content with the outcome. They responded quickly and were able to book me that day. When I got to the salon, I was apologetic for having to redo my perm, but they were so understanding and kind about the entire situation. They re-permed my hair and the outcome was everything I wanted! I was so happy. The curls came out beautiful and my hair is still very healthy despite being permed twice within two days. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. And thank you to John for taking care of me!
