The team was responsive, on time, worked quickly, accommodated a couple of scope changes gracefully. They also cleaned up pretty well - part of our job was removing bricks which throws up a lot of fine dust so it was expected that there would be additional cleanup after they left. But they covered the furniture and floors and vacuumed and swept, so that most of the mess was gone and I could focus on a couple passes to get rid of the dust that remained. The full scope was removing a couple of walls, a fireplace facade and hearth, a couple of long valences over patio doors, cabinets in a garage, and a closet. Good job, I'd use them again. read more

Absolutely first class operation. Luis was great to work with. They showed up on time, worked hard and completed what was a week long project demo'ing my entire backyard, including concrete, planters. They took a great deal of care to put plywood in front of my windows, and even offered to build a temporary planter to save one of my palm trees, which turned out to be not necessary as the old planter was just solid roots. I had two out buildings that needed removal for a pool project along with a trench for a power & gas run. His bid was very competitive. I recently dealt with Luis of L.A.P. Demolition Services. I strongly recommend him / them for any demo removal work you are considering. We communicated and confirmed the scope of work and scheduling well (I had some trellises and a detached deck removed and hauled). There was a minor issue with scheduling due to some health concerns and weather delays. But everything was quickly resolved and out of their control. The crew and Luis were very professional. I had a lot of confidence that the work would be performed as discussed. And it was! No collateral damage to any part of the house and some portions of the work needed to be delicately performed. We got multiple bids for a relatively small demolition project. LAP's quote came in the middle and Luis worked with us. This increased our confidence that we went with the right company. I wish we had more work to be done at the same time. But phasing our improvements would not allow for it right now. I feel that in the future we will only need to get additional bids for demo work for due diligence. That provides great peace of mind. I can see us using LAP for all our demo and removal work from now on. My work was done during the Covid-19 pandemic. We used LAP Demolition Services for a huge job in our back yard in Poway to demolish and remove approximately 200 tons of rocks and boulders. Some of the rocks and boulders were right next to our house. It was a very challenging job and required a lot of skill to protect the house and foundation from damage. There was no damage to anything on our property. The job was completed within the agreed upon timeframe. Luis and his crew showed up on time every day and did exactly what they said they would do. This project required the use of a Caterpillar 308E Excavator with a 500-pound breaker, rock drills, a hydraulic splitter, and air compressors. LAP Demolition Services made sure all of the rock and debris were hauled off the property and disposed of properly. It was a very difficult job that took close to 4 weeks to complete and that not every contractor would be willing to do because it was a hard job. Luis and his crew worked diligently to get the job done. Luis, the owner, is highly skilled at what he does. He and his crew are professional and courteous and completed all work that they were contracted to do. I couldn't be happier with the service I got from these guys. My normal contractor wound up in the hospital and his demo guys fell through leaving me with a heap of broken concrete and no easy way to get rid of it. I got 2 quotes right away, first guy was cheap but seemed sketchy and looked like he was on meth... second guy was nice and honest, but wanted an astronomical amount because there was no access for a bobcat and his trailer would have blocked my whole cull de sac for a full day. I was referred to this company by a large concrete installer and it was just the right fit. His price was good, no complaints there, and Luis was a very honest seeming guy. I expected a low end trailer for the price I paid, but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice their rig was. They protected my driveway with wood and everything when dropping the trailer container off. I tried my best to help out with the hauling for most of the morning and talked and joked with them, super nice guys. Got the job done in just a few hours (I had thought "BS" when he said just 2 guys would have it done before lunch, but they proved me wrong!). The job may have been more than they expected when they gave me a quote, but he stuck to his original price and didn't add any extra charges. Plus they provided proof of insurance to my wife who actually works in insurance; that was relieving for both of us.
