Drove an hour to enjoy the brew and food, to be told the kitchen was closed due to a family emergency. We stayed to have a drink or two and watched meals continue to be served for the next 45 minutes. It was rather disappointing.

Nice little jem. We stopped by just to try it and I definitely think it's worth a visit. If you are looking to just enjoy a beer after work or with a friend.

Create your own pizza was very good, just the right amount of crisp. The Mac Attack appetizer with the pulled pork could be a meal.

You can find this friendly place in the small town of Laotto! The atmosphere is casual with wooden booths and tables. There is also a small bar rail with additional seating. The staff welcomed us with a smile and were very attentive. I stopped in on a Sunday for brunch, which they have once a month. The menu was small, which I can appreciate. They also offered a beer bloody mary, beermosa and a regular mimosa. I ordered a beermosa and the waitress suggested pairing it with an IPA. This was the perfect combo IMO. Then for food i ordered the poutine. Sadly I was very underwhelmed with my choice. The meat was tough and it just needed something else. I would definitely like to return for another experience!

The room we were in use to be an old bank! The old safe is in there still and the floors are original! Amazing!

Friendly, easy-going, warm-welcoming place. 9 in-house brews on tap when I visited. I tried 5 & appreciated all, absolutely loved 3. LaOtto Brews are more layered & zesty than typical brewery offerings. The food was delicious too, & the options comforting. I would come back, often!!

What a fun little place in "downtown" little L.A.. Great service from Lynne....just enough sas to keep our conversation lively.! I had the wings, beer beans and potato chips. Nothing off the charts, but for I my $9, it hit the spot. Good selection of locally brewed beer. I went with the $7 flight to try a few different flavors. Brunch on the first Sunday of the month. Can't wait for it to warm up to head back for the outdoor seating!

Friendly little rural town establishment! Small plates, sandwiches, soups, pizzas, and desserts! It's a totally unassuming place from the outside. Without Yelp we would've never known about it. Lots of beer choices (well duh)! We got the Ruby which is two ham and cheese slicers served with kettle chips and also an order of black-eyed pea salsa and chips. We'd stop again. Give it a try!

Another fantastic dinning experience at Chance Bar! Chance really does dinner well. Everything…read morefrom the personal service and touch to excellent food to an eclectic atmosphere. It really is a must try if you are looking g for a dinning experience. The facility is small and parking out back can be a challenge. Making reservations is easy on their website. I would encourage this as it is nice to have and be able to relax. The team here is great. Addie greeted us and quickly got us to our table. She was friendly, all smiles and quick to make sure our water glasses were refilled. Chelsea was our waitress. She made us feel right at home and welcomed. She made sure to follow up regularly with us and was very friendly. Corey, one of the owners and chefs, came out to meet us. You could tell that he was genuinely glad we were there and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the cook. The atmosphere is very quaint. The dining area is small but overly packed or loud. The white table coverings and dim lights were nice. There was soft jazz music overhead and an interesting collection of local art work on the wall. I was surprised that Chance didn't have much drink service outside of beer and wine. There is a bar predominantly places in the restaurant but no liquor items to serve. The wine list was moderately large and had a couple items that would appeal to dry red wine drinkers. One of the things I like about Chance is the selection of small plate shareables. You can make a meal out of a couple or accent an entree as an appetizer. We like to get several of these to sample. We started with the beer bread. The comes with two large slices of bread. The bread is served room temperature. This leads you to conclude, at first bite, that the bread is a bit dry and stale. The bread is thick and dense. It does has a drier taste but it isn't dry. There is a good beer flavoring present. The honey butter was fun. The butter chunk was thicker and hard. The honey was drizzled over the top with possibly a little cinnamon accent. You had to work a little to get the ratio and spread you want. The beer battered mushrooms are still good. The medium sized mushroom is covered in a thick and crispy batter. There is a slight beer taste in each large mushroom. The mild horseradish dipping sauce was a nice compliment. We also ordered the rib tips. This is a small dish that is packed with lots of flavor. The crispy garlic chips were unique and tasty. The garlic is overpowering and crisp tastes slightly burnt. The honey BBQ sauce is delicious - mop it off the plate delicious! The sauce is thick and sweet. It has a slightly strong BBQ spice flavor. The jalapeño rings are well cooked and soaked up the BBQ glaze nicely. While tasty the jalapeño rings were slightly spicy to taste. We did order the ricotta gnocchi again. It was delicious the first time we ordered it. It was outstanding again. The gnocchi is freshly made and soft but slightly firm to cut. The ricotta gives the dish a slight cheese flavor. The tomato based sauce is smooth and moderately thick. The sightly sweet Italian seasoned sauce was a perfect covering for the gnocchi!

She made great recommendations and helped us decide based on our time constraints. She was attentive and gave us a lot of information about the food, live music, DJ and art for sale on all the walls. We weren't super hungry, so we tried the flatbread - sooo good. I will be back because the whole menu, including the drinks, sound wonderful. They offered zero spirit, GL and other substitutions if needed which is nice. The atmosphere has a moody, darker hang out vibe to it. I loved it and can't wait to bring some friends and family back! She recommended reservations on the weekends, especially on "First Fridays" as that's when they do events and an art crawl on Broadway when the weather is nice. We parked on the street in front of the building so I'm not sure if there is a parking lot. They do have outdoor seating as well in the front of the building. I remember when this location was a food co-op waaaaaaay back in the day. They did a great job transforming it into a relaxing bar and restaurant. We will go back and I highly recommend you check it out!

But then you're presented with this shiny chandelier, illuminating this wide chamber, and hovering over a smooth, curved bar. The sides of this huge dining space are lined with dining tables, and walls lined with artwork, making the name quite appropriate. Subtle haloes of light dot the ceiling, and the color palette of the place (besides that big ol' chandelier) is dark, cool, and easy on the eyes. I took a seat at the main bar and was served within minutes. I enjoyed some light pop, rap, and classic rock tunes bumping in the background while I sipped on a delightful Smoked Apple Reserve. Every sip was a punch of sweetness, followed by an air of smokiness, and just a splash of herby aftertaste. It was however, not the kind of drink you could chug, so I sipped slowly throughout my meal. I'll have to come back for the appetizers, as I hear they're the star of the show, but neither the flatbreads nor the traditional bar-fare excited me. Thanks to Yelp though, I learned of the Blueberry and Brie Grilled Cheese, which I'd initially dismissed due to my dislike of Brie - the cheese and her portrayal of Captain Marvel, let's be honest. But I gave it a chance and ~woah~ it was something else. First of all, it's a perfectly cooked grilled cheese, with a flaky, crunchy exterior and addictingly cheesy inside, however I was ~taken aback~ by the flavor. I think I honestly had a Ratatouille moment, where that flavor of berry compote transported me to my childhood, chowing down on blueberry pancakes on Friday morning before school. At the same time, it doesn't dominate the flavor profile - it adds a subtle and satisfying sweetness to the creamy richness of the melted Brie, and it does it oh so well. The plentiful pieces of proscuitto provided some palatable protein, while also being a contrast in flavor and feel to the Berry and Brie. The fries were a little heavy on the straight potato flavor and not so much on seasoning and salt, but some garlic aioli did the trick there. The service was superb and the atmosphere was nothing like I've experienced in this city. I didn't expect to love this place as much as I did, but I can't wait to come back to try more apps, drinks, and return to that beautiful blueberry and brie...
