It took no time, and the price was better than fair. I had asked for the ferrules to be replaced due to age and wear and tear, but John recommended saving me money and not doing the replacements and instead made the 30 year old ferrules look awesome! I highly recommend Monarch due to their expertise, craftsmanship and integrity. Thank you Monarch Billiards. There's no reason I can think of to ever go anywhere else.

I would not call them mechanics; I would call them craftsman. Their attention to detail was evident as I watched them work. Impeccable. I look at billiard equipment like a musical instrument. If this were a violin, the table would be the violin body, the strings would be the balls and the bow would be the cues. Monarch gave me a Stratovarius. John and Sara are the best for help with equipment, cues and tip work. I gladly drive for over an hour for their help. Their staff are enthused educators that know billiards. Its great playing on world class equipment that is tuned to perfection. Thank you, Monarch, for bringing my baby back. The new cue Sara helped me choose is terrific. Gotta go practice. Since retired but came here today to see my friend/old customer. Got here at 12pm. Seated quickly in the back (place was very dark). Waitress came by for our soft drinks. I order an ice tea. She came back as the tea had to be brewed - now its noon time and tea for ice tea isnt brewed which took 10/15 mins (first strike). Placed our order - i ordered 5 wings and the roasted veggie grinder. Lunch partner ordered a French dip. Wings came out timely and were good. It took the French dip and roasted veggie grinder 30 mins to come out and the order was wrong - it wasnt a French dip, my sandwich was not toasted, nor did it have the aioli on it either (2nd strike); both went back - server apologized and said remake would come out quickly. There was a table of 3 ladies other side of us and their order came out three times to complete - it came out piecemeal but i digress. Server was clearly embarrassed since she stayed away. I saw her and asked when out food was coming - 1255pm the remake came out. The French dip was supposed to be on a seeded roll which it was not, and my roasted veggie sandwich was a mushy mess of what they called roasted veggies still on a soft ciabatta roll that was not toasted as a grinder should be and the veggies were over salted. (3rd strike) The server offered to have the manager come by but I declined as he/she would not have been happy by the time I was done with him or her. After being closed for a few years was excited to come back. Needless to say wont be going back. It should not take 30 mins for sandwiches to come out, then be a wrong order or not as advertised, then have to wait another 20 minutes for the remake and still be wrong. my sandwich was comped which was kind of the server.

I was so happy that I was able to get a seat at the bar to watch. To my surprise it was even Sunday HH!!. The bartender was really busy, but doing a great job. I was told to try the cheese steak egg rolls next time....and there definitely will be a next time. There was a good vibe with the crowd which I very much appreciated. I didn't feel like any dumb shenanigans would jump off which is very important to me. I've been searching for a regular spot since my last spot shut down...I may have found it!!

The bartenders' skill set seems limited to cracking open a beer or the occasional home event, so adjust expectations accordingly; a cold Coors Light is about as adventurous as it gets. Most of the staff is friendly, though one manager who appears to be well past her customer-service era might want to consider retirement--her attitude does the atmosphere no favors. I hope they let their grandmother retire and rest up for the next life. She clearly has had a rough last couple of years. That said, the place itself is friendly enough and mostly clean, which counts for something.

Theyre warm and make you feel welcomed EVERY SINGLE TIME you come. I cant recommend it enough. Fun and friendly place to be. Table costs about $8 an hour or $20 for the entire day. Club Med can be a little hard to find if you have no idea where you're going. I was told "it's…read moreover behind the Harrisburg Mall" and forced to find it on my own. Eventually, I did, but I chalk that up to my Carthaginian Explorer's sense of direction. If you have a Persian sense of direction *ahem* and accidently direct people to the pentagon, you'd never find it. Once you know where you're going, you begin to figure out how to get those covetted front parking spots, that seem to be a million miles closer to the door than the rest of the lot. Close parking is both an artform and a science, and at Club Med, it's crucial, because it seems like during the winter months, the wind blows just a little bit stronger on the East side of South Harrisburg. I also think it happens to swell up in the driveway, in the only place that the gym doesn't shelter from the wind. Club Med has a little over 20 pool tables. They have a pretty red one and an even prettier blue one. There is a back room that is non-smoking. However, I've never been in there, because let's face it, I can't put out my cigarette long enough to walk back there. The juke box is relatively well stocked, and if it's slow, and you go there often enough, the owner will hook you up with some change to put in and play a few jams. On Friday and Saturday nights however, it's usually stocked an hour ahead with 50 cent songs played by middle school and high school kids who go there so they can smoke. The whole place isn't packed with kids, but they definitely make up a substantial proportion of the clientelle. Other major groups include the skeezy old men who gamble on billiards and Asians who, as if they hadn't impressed us enough with their mathematical and breakdancing abilities, had to go and be amazing at pool too. The highlight of Club Med is definitely the owner, and his staff, who I believe are all family. They are wonderful people, and they will always go out of their way to make sure you're having a good time in their establishment. Club Med also has a small snack bar which includes sodas, hot dogs, (i believe) nachos, and CANDY! Airheads and Root beer make any game of 8-ball complete!
