That said, I needed to protect it and myself. For me this required working with someone who is ethical, trustworthy, diligent and who practices law with the highest integrity. I found all of that and more with Shivani Sutaria at Sutaria Law. From the beginning Shivani took the time to explain exactly what I needed to do to protect my business and to be a good employer to my employees. She communicates very well and that is so important. I never left a conversation feeling confused, only reassured that I was working with the best attorney for my needs. In addition to providing legal advice for my new hire, she created a sales commission agreement for me as well as an official offer letter. She also reviewed and updated my service agreement. I feel she went far above and beyond in helping me do right as an employer. I felt confident with her skills as an attorney - she is an expert in employment law. Overall, I recommend her hands down if you need a lawyer for preventative employment law, workplace investigations and/or legal representation. From day one, they've guided me through so many legal situations that I would've had no clue how to handle on my own. Contracts, employee stuff, & just other issues that I never thought I would have -- you name it, they've helped me navigate it all. And every single time, they make me feel heard, supported, and safe. Like, actually safe. They never talk down to me or make me feel like I'm asking a silly question -- instead, they empathize and I can feel that they've got my back 1000%. There are so many days where I'm overwhelmed running the cafe, juggling a million things -- and when something legal pops up, it's just such a relief knowing I can call them and instantly feel that weight lift off my shoulders. For nearly 20 years, his mission has been to obtain the best possible result for each of his clients throughout California. A unique approach sets Bill Marder apart from other employment lawyers, providing potential clients with valuable reasons to choose him: Bill Marder takes many cases that other attorneys turn down. He is willing to fight for you when other lawyers are looking for guarantees. This gives you a chance to win that you will not have with other lawyers who refuse your case. Bill Marder only requires payment if there is a recovery. If there is no recovery, I waive all of my fees and costs. The initial consultation is free. Your lawsuit will move quickly and efficiently. Bill Marder interviews all potential clients and usually gets the lawsuit filed within a few days of the first meeting. Other attorneys require multiple meetings before they decide whether or not to take the case. This means a complaint can sit with other lawyers for several months before any progress is made. We did have a trust many years ago with another firm but that lawyer retired and his firm wanted to charge a lot more for lifetime trusts, had a poor response time with interaction only with front-office staff and so that law firm lost a repeat client business! Matt is very methodical, the entire process is very well organized, he goes through patiently all the nuances in the intro call and to his credit he is also very clear on what he can commit to or not (e.g. a 24 hour response time window or completely remote zoom based exchange than in person mtgs/office). This ensures client satisfaction since clients are clear on what to expect upfront. Matt also helped us navigate creating the concept of lifetime trusts and its benefit, several other lawyers just wanted to create a simple trust or charge more for lifetime trust. Matt has a very reasonable flat-fee (his fees are not the highest and not the lowest) which I really liked and its not based on whether we decided to go with lifetime trusts or any other complex factors. We got our trust done within a reasonable time and if you are well organized Matt's process is fairly efficient. I am really happy we went with Matt and I highly recommend him!
