I wandered into Langley Supermarket on the off-chance of finding a new comb. As it was I came out with a packet of three (combs) for £1. Not bad.
What Langley Supermarket is is essentially a massive newsagents. Apart from the usual convenience stuff; branded food, teabags, newspapers (but only children's magazines), fags, pet food, cheap hair gel etc. What they stock a lot of is booze. And I mean a LOT of booze. The back of the shop is dominated by offers on eight-packs of lager, bottles of wine and bottles of ale. I don't drink at home and have long given up on the taste of lager so I didn't take them up on any of their offers (all presented in felt tip on star-shaped orange cardboard - a favourite trick of many establishments round these parts) but if you're having a party in B68, I suppose you could do a lot worse than stock up here.
The shop shuts at around 10pm, which is annoyingly early for an alcohol outlet and does them no favours when there's a 24-hour Asda about half-a-mile away; but there you have it: An enhanced newsagents with good deals on combs and booze.
