Manor Wines - Your typical local newsagent? Correct. There is always a stereotypical newsagent around every corner you turn in either Halesowen/Bartley Green, all pretty much selling the same products at similar prices. The service in a lot of these places is sub standard, as if the staff don't want to be there. The majority may be family and tied in to the shop, making matters worse. Regardless, Manor Wines is a fairly decent place to go, if you're looking to buy a few beers or a cheap bottle of wine, then I would recommend swinging by if you're close enough, I wouldn't say it's worth a journey though, I must admit. read more

Manor Wines is the best place to go for alcohol without getting in the car. They carry most types of alcohol and the prices are hard to beat. Would definitely recommend as it has been owned by the same family for at least 15 years and there are always good deals, especially with the usual drinks like fosters, carling, strongbow etc. read more

absolute joke of a shop, they have told my wife that she is not allowed to put £12 on her gas it must be 15 or 10, which i know is illeagel you are allowed to put how ever much you like, i have stopped using this shop due to keep buying things such as the odd tin carrots or a loaf of bread only to find that when you get home they are out of date, and dont bother trying to take it back as they will swear blind it was not purchased from there. Also my brother won £200 on a scratch card there and guess what they refused to pay out, its just one thing after another with these lot you cant even spend £1 and pay with a note as you get refused, they say u have to buy more, the manners of these people is just absolutely shocking especially the older gentleman who i beleive is the owner, i mean you can go in and say i will have a box of matches PLEASE' when they pas them there is no telling you how much or even saying thankyou, no conversation att all, and then you are the one saying thankyou and for what bad manners???? Ridiculous better going the extra few hundred yards to the nisa and be treated like a human. read more
