I get very tired of some people saying negative things about stores that are really quite good. It is true that all employees should take pride in their work and spend less time being involved in things that are not work oriented, and that happens everywhere, but I have never had any issues at this store. It's a small town and offers other services, and this store tries. I'd like to know if those who are so quick to judge, so to speak, have ever worked retail? Complaining is easy when you can't see the bigger picture and yes, it would be nice to see a few other stores open, for the mental health of all people, instead of seeing businesses leave because they can. People need to work and big business needs to do its best to provide that instead of being unfair to communities who have served them well, and likely for a long time. You want more probably, but make do with what is available and stop complaining, they have a great selection, and their selection is up to corporate, and they seem to do a pretty good job as far as I'm concerned and the people who work there do what they are told, and sometimes that's like mission impossible, since some of us know how that works. The key is to stay focused as a worker and a consumer, so stop complaining and do your best it could be far worse so take your blinders off. This store has what you need more times than often, and the people I have seen working hard are doing their best! They are polite and always helpful. People are spoiled...they want this and that, or impose their superficial take on things, and well, most of us are there to shop, not show off and I find food, and the basics, and yes, they have auto service, so no, don't complain. This store is clean, and does its best, and that is that! Imagine what it is like to have to work hard for any company and restock shelves, lifting, pushing, tagging, etc, etc... and all the other things you as a consumer do not know about, so get over yourself, because this store does try, and I appreciate it and so should you. Grow your own apples if you think you can do better, go for it. Be grateful for things, and yes, we need a few more businesses here because the residents deserve that, not another coffee shop, and granola bars that cost $5.00, we need more than that, I can make my own coffee and do! We also need more smaller stores too, but this is a farming area, and big stores like Walmart who provide to this community are really great too, because farmers are very busy people and so is everyone else. The little man, he is the one who built this country, don't forget him or her and deserves a chance too, so see things for what they are, and remember, this store is a nice place to shop so respect it. That said, if you want quality organic produce when the local farmers' market isn't in season, this is just about the only place to get it. Like the other reviewer stated, the vitamin store is nice and the lady in the shop was pleasant…read more However we booked two campsites for six nights expecting everything listed in the ad for Marilyn's on the back of the Mt Ida 2020 Visitors Guide. It was a mistake booking our stay sight unseen which is why I am writing this review. Marilyn's RV Park is simply a graveled area behind the store where hookups have been installed in designated parking spots in order to allow people to park their RVs. Which is fine if you don't plan on leaving your camper, you are completely self suffficient, and you do not care about a view or the occasional noise of the airport which is very close. There is NO bathroom available - (Unisex or not, which probably meant there was only ONE to start with) as it is locked at all times, there are NO showers, there is NO WIFI, there is NO Cable TV. There is one coin operated washer that has a sign on it stating to only fill it half full, and one coin operated dryer. There is water and electric hook up as stated, but the water pressure is very low. There are no picnic tables or place to have a camp fire or to grill/cook out food at each parking spot. Luckily we brought our own grill. I did notice one picnic table behind the store but it was not convenient to use. There is no dumpster to throw full bags of trash into- rather a few old plastic domestic sized trash cans with pieces of wood used for lids behind the store. Last but not least, "Breathtaking Scenery" the last bullet point in the Marilyn's RV Park ad. To be honest we laughed about this off and on all of the 7 days and 6 nights we spent there because it did somewhat take our breath away! But, I suppose it did serve the purpose. We were just so very disappointed that we spend our vacation evenings parked in a grave lot behind a tourist store and not in a real campground. That is the reason for this review so others might know what they are actually reserving when they reserve a stay a Marilyn's RV Park.
