So not wanting to go off to Coquitlam, when I usually go to the big box Korean supermarkets to get good slabs of pork I decided to use the good ol' trusty Yelp app, and somehow this one popped up, also it popped up on the famous google, and many people raved about this place. I knew where this place was, but would not think a second to come here, well that changed in a heart beat after stepping into the joint, the meats are all put out, nice, frozen, well cut, well displayed, and if you want that right thick cut of pork belly (sorry... this isn't for a Chinese cooking thing) and you know you need that Korean cut (you know what I'm talking about) this is the place you come. The sign on the outside made me feel I was back in the pandemic period, but it is understandable as the place (for customer's) is small, so if you are going in, you must make sure that the people in the store are already paying, or you must stand outside. On a few occasions we have had to wait while others were getting their goods, and we have bought their nicely cut (skin off) pork belly, and thinly cut slices of beef for hot pot. The plaza usually has parking as they have a few spots marked for this store. The prices are reasonable, and the meat quality is great, so now this has become my go-to place for meats when I need that right cut.

This place is really a meat market, small shop, with a bunch of people working there helping out everyone who comes in, and they understand meat. My dear was asking the lady that got our meats some questions and she gave some tips and some other meat ideas. This place really is your neighborhood butcher, while being in this shop I noticed people coming in, and the staff referring to them by name, pretty cool. I called ahead before heading down here, "Do you have center cut tenderloin?", "Yes we have a lot". Well that was dumb of me for being not specific enough on what I'm trying to make. When I got there, I talked to one of the staff asking for the tenderloin. They proceed to show the center cut tenderloin which been cut to steak size. I explained that I'm planning to make Wellington, and that would not work. They went to the back, but couldn't find any, and told me it was sold out earlier. Then they talked about the other tenderloin cut, which twirled using string, they said I can use it but they wouldn't recommend it for Wellington as there is muscle which going to make it tough. I decided to just get the prosciutto, and another staff came to help me. They asked how much I need and what I'm making. Once they learned that I'm making Wellington, they dig around for the center cut and there was one left! Christmas is saved! Cost about $113.68 for 1.146 kg of center cut tenderloin, very good price!

Their price is very reasonable at $11 per lb for this delectable bbq sausage. They are one of the few remaining Chinese bbq shops that make this recipe because its labour intensive. And this Swiss farmer sausage was amazing. We had not anything like that before and we were hooked. It was meaty, savory and not too salty with just a touch of sweetness on the outside. So we knew had to come back to get more and get more we did. We had asked if they could cut for us and the lady said they didn't normally cut the sticks but the gentleman said they would do it for us. So I loved that they did it for us again especially bc we thought it was just something they did from our visit.
