I did not hire Mr. Reese, but my grandparents did (although I am putting this review under my…read moregrandpa's name, as he was the customer). They have a leaking pipe in their bathtub and contacted him about getting it fixed sometime this week. He was supposed to be there on Tuesday (3 days ago), yet never showed up or even contacted them as to why he wasn't there. He called the next day or the day after (not sure which one) and said that he changed his phone and had forgotten to write the appointment down, and would be back again this morning at 10am. While he did actually show up this morning, he was around 30 minutes late. He didn't do anything for them except rip apart the drain in their bathtub and render it useless, so now they can't use it. He said that he would be back around 1 o' clock today to continue working on it, but it is now 3 and he hasn't shown back up or called them again. Additionally, he won't pick up his phone when my grandparents try to call him. I decided to look Mr. Reese up online after that which is when I found the numerous horrible reviews about him both on here and on the website he's associated with (Better Business Bureau). It's a good thing they haven't paid him yet (as he hasn't actually done any work for them), what with other reviews saying that he either stole their money or parts. Needless to say, they won't be paying him or letting him come back, in the event that he does try to. If I could give zero stars, I would. Please do yourself a favor and do not do any business with this man.

I just called DA Reese for a boiler problem. I told him another HVAC service had just come out and…read moredidn't work on that brand of boilers. He told me "If they wouldn't work on it I won't either" And hung up on me. He did not offer any other recommendations or names of other companies. He just flat out hung up on me. Do not use this service. They are absoutely unprofessional.

Plus $126 to replace a fuse! $431 total. When I called to express my concerns (twice) I was not permitted to speak with a supervisor, was advised the CS rep would fill out a form and be the 'go-between' and I would hear from them in 5 days. Was further advised that Moore doesn't charge by the hour...they charge by the 'job'. Three jobs in under an hour! A $2 fuse! One of their competitors advised they would charge $125 service fee...and $125 an hour. That's $250 vs. the $431 Moore charged me. (The only reason I went with Moore because the TC location did a nice job 18 months ago quoting and installing central air here). I feel as though I was treated very unfairly by the Cadillac office. ADDENDUM--it gets even better! After about four days I received a call from Travis, a supervisor with Moore Mechanical to discuss my complaint. All Travis did for nearly 20 minutes on the phone was try to justify over-charging me for a standard visit and a fuse replacement. This went (ridiculously) on and on, as he attempted to explain to me why this service (in a rural Michigan county) costs THREE TIMES what the same service costs me in suburban Chicago, how the service call was really THREE functions that took place in just under an hour. 1. Arriving $130. 2. Evaluation $175 3. Replacing a fuse and removing a safety switch $126. So...Travis' implication was that I could have refused services #2 and #3 and paid ANOTHER vendor ANOTHER service fee to start all over. Also that if the service had taken 2 or three hours (it didn't) the cost would have been the same...so I actually was not understanding the "value" Moore was providing! Silly me! Finally...after I heard "I'm sorry you feel that way" three times, and realized I was not going to receive any consideration, just more lip service, I politely ended our conversation. THEN their service tech called me....for 'round two' I suppose. I was done. Anyway....it's long and windy but I feel as though other consumers should be aware of the "value" they can look forward to when dealing with pricing that is strategically designed to serve only one purpose....to enrich Moore Mechanical.
