Mike went above-and-beyond to help me get my life back on track. After 7 months of facing multiple…read morefelonies and misdemeanors totaling 5-25 years of imprisonment, all charges were dismissed. Mike helped me aggregate all of the evidence I had proving my innocence, and got two different DAs on separate but related charges to dismiss all of my charges without going to trial or taking any plea deal. On one occasion, I was arrested after additional false reports when refusing to pony up extortion demands by the original accuser, and Mike arrived ready to Central Bookings hours later ready wand prepared to prove my innocence; subsequently, I was released without even having to pay bail. Otherwise, I would have probably ended up on a boat to Riker's Island unjustly. Also, his "performance" when presenting my case to the judge was Oscar-worthy attaining oohs, aahs, chuckles, and cringes from those present in the court. Mike also followed up with me regularly to see if my extortioner was still harassing me, and always gave advice on any new developments. I'd pay more if I could! Mike was also financially flexible with me allowing me to pay in installments. He is as good as it gets! I cannot even contemplate on an area for needed improvement or even a nuanced critique. Hard for me to describe in words my gratitude and appreciation for Michael Horn's professionalism, skills, abilities, and character. He is the GOAT!

We called…read moreseveral attorneys who advertised "free consultation" and before they even finish listening to our synopsis of events, it was about the retainer, not a word of substance. Michael Horn felt different from the very first phone call. We arranged an in-person meeting and it really felt like a solid consultation. He gave us so much relief and clarity that we felt so confident that he was the attorney we needed. We talked for 30' asking different questions about my case and she told me that she was going to email me with a questionaire to fill out and send back. I was looking my emails every day. She never got back to me. On 09/12/2025 I've called them back to ask if they had my email address written wrong. The receptionist followed the same routine as I was contacting them for the first time. She forwarded me to the same laywer and she started asking me the same exactly questions. When I told her if they are interested in my case, she replied we don't do cases like yours and we can refer you to another laywer, although they had originally told me that they were interested. She continued asking the same exactly questions we've been already through. So, I finally told her to stop wasting my time and I will find another laywer that will be interested in me and not only to the size of the case. I've found it totally unprofessional. My general experience from them was that they were not listening to what I had to say. ANd when I was talking they were only thinking of what to reply to me.

She barely connected with us the entire time, didn't advocate or represent us in the manner she should have and it end up costing us thousands of dollars. She made various mistakes on our closing documents including the following; spelt my name wrong on every document, wrote the wrong amount on a check (the difference was thousands of dollars) and addressed a different check to the wrong name/address. It quiet frankly embarrassing being represented by her at our closing. She showed up late with multiple incorrect documents. At one point during our closing preparation she said and I quote 'I don't look at contracts' when I asked her to review something. Please save yourself the headache and most likely money and do not let her represent you.

I have known and worked with Mishael for over ten years and not only have I referred her to friends but I also go to her first when I have questions about areas of the law in which she has expertise or when I need another attorney to do legal work on my behalf. I know her in numerous capacities and have nothing but the highest praise for her integrity, work ethic and knowledge base. There is no other attorney I would recommend more highly or in whom I would place greater trust. Mishael is not only an excellent attorney but also dedicates a large portion of her time to pro bono work. I include this to illustrate how much she loves the law and show how strongly she believes in justice and fairness. For Mishael, the law is not merely a job or profession but a calling.
