My experience at the PCYC club was a nightmare, I've had nothing but problems with them when trying to report a harassment incident. I was attending training sessions at the PCYC Lang Park Judo club and all I did was raised a potential dangerous throwing incident to Judo QLD and both the head coach and second in charge instructor were harassing me and engaging in intimidating, threatening behaviours as a result. I asked PCYC that I would like to report it to their Sergeant and they never responded, so I attended the Roma st Police station to report the two coaches. PCYC weren't at all interested and didn't care, I contacted them a number of times, including asking them to save the CCTV footage for Police and they never responded. The PCYC head office finally did respond around 4 months later with an abusive email claiming Judo QLD who conducted the investigation found the harassment incident by the two coaches to be 'unsubstantiated' which is clearly not the case and quite defamatory, particularly given their is CCTV footage, in other words accusing me of making false accusations. Although Judo QLD stated the potential dangerous throwing incident is 'unsubstantiated', they did not state anywhere in their response that the harassment incident is unsubstantiated, matter of fact their were considering at taking it to a "higher level" as shown in the image. They also banned me in retaliation just because of the mere fact I expressed dissatisfaction with the response I received from Judo Aus which is none of their business. I have every right to be furious, Judo Aus noted other issues in their response but nothing about the harassment matter which was central to my complaint, who was also sweeping it under the carpet. In their response, PCYC abused me for the "broadcast nature" of my emails when copying them to Police, Blue Cards and others which is really none of their business. The coaches shouldn't be training children behaving the way they do, like gangsters being a menace, and having this disgusting culture of silence, and Blue Cards should rightly be informed who have acknowledged my concerns. This is evidence that PCYC are being deceitful, sweeping it under the carpet to protect reputations, they most likely would have deleted the CCTV footage. I would not recommend this club or any of the PCYC clubs to anyone, they are not to be trusted, particularly with children. I will never go back their ever again. read more
