I honestly felt like it had been purposefully vandalized or something. I just stopped taking photos after a few minutes, it was so overwhelming. I hadn't been into a Kohls in a few years but I remember it being very nice and tidy. This was way worse than a TJ Maxx or Ross. It was like a Goodwill or something. You would think that first thing in the morning, at store opening for the day, it would be tidy. I just walked out without purchasing a single thing because it was chaos. It would not have been a pleasant shopping experience at all for me. Very disappointing.

Kohls is a great store, and remember, if you've never worked. Retail don't slam it as far as the esthetics in the store or how it looks on the beginning or at the end of the day, those workers work hard, it's some of the clientele that go into these stores and destroy it. The workers can only do so much and believe me. I come from a retail/merchandise background to know the more you do, the more they expect, the more they expect, the less they appreciate. There's always a "karen" in the bunch, that's going to scream her head off and get her free or a discount, when she doesn't deserve it. Another thing too , people complaining about clothes on the floor what's it gonna kill you to bend down and pick it up and just put it on the shelf , even if you don't fold it? After reviewing some of these photos and comments on here, I'm disappointed. It seems like you have maid service at your house! Retail service workers are always mistreated and yeah , I know they got a hard job and they don't get the pay for it just like any other service job. So just be kind and look around and see , maybe what you could do to maybe put something on the shelf , it's on the floor it's not going to kill you pick it up or put it back on the hanger! Or better yet , to put it back in the place , you found it! What a concept. Keep up the good work Kohls.

Again neither of them said anything to us for about a minute until I said "so can he use it?" With my son clearly next to me wiggling in distress and this lady who had not said a single word to me or looked in my direction said "well she just said she mopped it and it's wet" I stood there in disbelief for a second and said "so that's a no?" And neither one of them said anything to us. I walked out saying "wow you guys are really weird for that" I actually usually buy all of my shoes from famous footwear but I will never be stepping in this location and probably no other location ever again. When I got there, the manager let me know that unfortunately the corporate customer service number is the same for store locations as it is for customers. Instead of sending me on my way, the manager actually sat with me and waited for corporate customer service to answer the phone and fix the issue with my order. The manager absolutely did not have to do that, but she chose to go above and beyond to help me out. I completely forgot to get her name, but I know she has purple-ish red kind of hair. Anyway, the staff here are awesome and super helpful :)

They also cater more to a curvy body type instead of a stick person, so it's much more realistic and helps make a shopper feel more normal, haha. Now, the prices here are definitely lofty (punny and meaning not ideal). On a normal I'm most likely not buying clothes I like, but I try to time my visits when sales are going on. Loft can really make up for their higher prices with having awesome sales. In example, I visited a few weeks ago when they had a 40% off your entire purchase deal- how can you argue that steal! I've always had good experiences at this location in Lakeland as well- the workers are super sweet and helpful without hovering. If you can't find quite the right size, they'll also happily order you the correct fit online that you can pick up in the store later or have shipped straight to you! Come at the right time and you can find a whole loft more than you bargained for! ;)

(I'm mainly also speaking to females here, but if you are a male with that fashion sense then I mean hey go for it haha) I really had no idea what I was walking into the first time I went to Versona. All I knew was that I was in desperate need of some cute dress pants and just a whole outfit for a presentation that was in a few days, so I needed to find something that day. I searched the handy old internet to find some stores nearby that might have what I was looking for at more reasonable prices, and that's when Versona crossed the radar. This is an awesome store! I am far from being a fashionista or really having any trustworthy sense of fashion, but this store has some CUTE items! From tanks to long sleeves to jackets to pants, they have a great selection of different types of clothes that can all be dressed up or are just the professional look you need (or I needed at least). Because, let's be honest- especially for women, previous decades of business appropriate clothes can be UGLY. Like, so awkward fitting, looking, and just really not making you feel confident or good about yourself in any way. But Versona has that touch of modern trends in their styles where you will like how the clothes fit and look. Trust me, it's a big deal! And the best part: the prices are so in reach! Broke college kid speaking here too (rip)- I didn't feel like I was giving away part of my soul just to have some more dress clothes. Most of their pants are around $30-40! They also have at least 3 displays of jewelry, scarves, shoes, sunglasses and so, so much. Oh yeah, you can try on your picks in their dressing rooms that are open again. Hallelujah! Go check them out!

Particularly for those of us savvy shoppers who will WAIT, if necessary, until a piece goes on sale - if it stays (slays) in stock. Also, if you have the pennies to spend, I can pretty much guarantee you will find a dress, blouse, accessory, what-have-you, that NO ONE ELSE is rocking (yet). I asked the cashier if I can go get the same item with a price tag and I did find the same item with a $12.99 tag. The situation was handled very unprofessionally by a store manager. I would say that the cashiers are a lot more eligible for the position to be the store manager. Customer service is key to a successful business.

The first time I walked into this store, and mentioned that I had made an internet order and had a question, the sales idiot says to me: "now why would you order online and screw us out of a commission and give it to some guy in Baltimore? You should think about that before ordering online." No kidding. I turned right around and walked out of the store. I thought this was an isolated incident, and went back in there some time later, and was treated almost identically by another person who made me feel like my presence was a burden in the store. Was I underdressed? No, I was dressed to the nines walking in there as I usually am, so obviously I'm not some poorly dressed slob in a ratty t-shirt and flip flops who looks like he can't afford the free peppermints on the countertop. I have bought quite a sum of money's worth of clothing from Jos. A. Bank online over time and it will continue to be that way. Anything to keep me out of their retail store in Lakeland is a good thing to me. Occasionally, I have to go in there to pick up an altered suit I purchased online and I make great pains to ask for the same individual, who is a lady, because the rest of them are just pompous jerks. She is very sweet and courteous. The rest of that staff aren't worthy of being used car salesmen. In fact, I'm sure some of them probably came from the used car lot because they couldn't hack it. Yes, I'm disgusted by this place and it makes my skin crawl to have to go in there. If I could give them a negative star, I would. Great clothing but pathetic customer service.
