First I had a difficult time communicating with them. It took me multiple times reaching out to…read morethem to confirm what day they were coming. One of the days they were scheduled to come I had to text them the day before to check because it had rained and I didn't get a response back til 8am the morning of the appointment saying it had been rained out from the day prior. After we finally got a date, I didn't hear the day before what time I should expect the crew. I texted that morning asking and got told 30 minutes before they showed up. The crew was very polite any time we had to engage while they were on site. They made sure to ask me where exactly the sod was going. I asked if they could remove a small stump where the sod was going and if they couldn't I would remove it. They kindly said they could. Once going to pay my invoice I noticed they had a charge of $350 for debris removal but no debris were removed and I was never asked if I wanted them to take the debris which I would have said no. I ended up sharing the camera recording that showed nothing was removed! This ended up getting removed as they said there was confusion and that taking away the pallets from the soil & sod from the site was not considered debris. The sod looked great post laying down however two days later when we went to install the sprinkler system we were stunned to see what was underneath. I had been charged $400 for top soil, if you look at the pictures there is hardly any top soil under the sod. I was told they would prep the ground but yet you see rocks, sticks, etc so the ground was not moved though it's claimed to have been raked. The backyard is that tough clay like dirt so it needs to be roughed and prepped to ensure its growth. It's apparent it was not. When sharing the videos and photos with the company asking for resolution or partial refund. I got told that this was up to their standard, they did the proper prep and there was $400 worth of top soil there. I also got told they already gave me a discount by removing the debris charge!! Though there were not debris removed and were now saying the pallets did count as removal. No partial refund or even correction of the work they did. I unfortunately will not be using them again though I originally had considered using them for my front lawn later in the year.

I spoke with Austin Tooley regarding my established lawn in October 2024. We discussed my…read morewants/needs (mow/edge/blow the yard, spray for weeds, trim bushes/shrubs when and as needed, show up when you are supposed to as this was one of my reasons for changing services, etc. ) while walking the perimeter of my yard. I signed a contract with him October 2024. Today is February 11, 2025. My husband and I can only account for 5 times that he actually serviced our lawn (mow, edge, blow). Both my husband and I had to reach out multiple times to find out when his regular service day was. After several excuses/reasons for not showing up, we were finely told our service date was Fridays. Our definition of regular yard service is weekly through the leaf season. We saw him twice to collect leaves. There was no bush or shrub trimming on our property. The last service date that Austin came to our property was the week before Christmas. He cut edged and blew the front yard. However, he only blew the leaves/debris from our backyard walkway into my flowerbeds. He did not mow or blow the leaves out of the grass in the backyard. Lazy and uninterested is quality of service. At that point we wanted to get out of the contract. We could see no way that we could come to terms. We were very unsatisfied with the money we paid monthly versus the lack of services received. In January 2025, we hired other companies to complete the work that was not being completed by Austin. Our intent was to subtract those expenses that we incurred from his monthly fee due to his lack of service. Austin did not service my yard for the entirety of January 2025. We sent him the invoices for services rendered by other companies 1/29/25 with our intent to pay the cancellation fee of $150 ending our contract 3/1/25. We heard nothing from that correspondence until today, 2/11/25. His response with amounts undisclosed: "You can say all this stuff and that's fine but doesn't change the fact that you guys are under contract. If you want to pay the $-- now and cancel that's fine. I'll meet you there. But you made those choices to hire other people and set a timeline that you didn't communicate. If $-- is sent today we will cancel without an additional fee and that's all there is to it. Otherwise the total is going to be $--" We paid his amount today and officially ended our contract. In regards to his response, communication was attempted but rarely reciprocated. Our texts were ignored. Phone calls and emails were ignored. The contract vaguely outlined services to be rendered. We were unaware we needed to set a timeline. We'd been told Friday was our service date. To service our property 5 times in 4 months that incudes Fall leaves season is unbelievably lazy. I am glad to be out of our contract. I've never had a more unpleasant experience with someone who only wanted the money without providing the services hired to do.
