They have a lady in there that don't understand a 1040 or cash app . Also Felt like she was down playing my business just because she didn't understand the documents I provided (documents backed by IRS.org and cash app ) didn't even call my previous landlord but says she couldn't get a hold of them very unpleasant an unprofessional place felt like i was being discriminated against the whole time i was there . I have only gotten good from this company. If something went wrong, I called it in because if it got worse, I could have been held responsible, and when I did, I had the repairs done the same day! If you follow the rules, and pay your rent on time, there is no problem, and when the house you live in suddenly is on the market for sale, Landlord Leasing will work with you and help you find another place. You have to do your part, they will do theirs, and they will do you good! I would recommend this company! Rather you are a home owner or a tenant: Landlord Leasing saves you time and headaches. I'm sure that the reviews prior to mine all having their reasoning's however, I believe that if you are good tenant, pay your rent, and don't trash the place, there should not be any issues. Their homes are fairly priced; you get what you pay for. As an owner, I appreciate Landlord Leasing for their hard work- it takes it off of my shoulders and I don't have to deal with the riff-raff! I do NOT recommend anyone EVER renting from them. BECKY in the office is rude and unprofessional. The houses are disgusting and broken. Just got a ding on my credit report from landlord leasing saying we owe 3k. We lived there a year ago, and not once did we EVER pay rent late or miss rent. I have email confirmation for every single payment we ever made. If we owed something from damages when we moved out (there weren't many-security deposit would of covered it) they have my number and my husbands. Not ONCE did they try to contact us. If they would of, we would have paid. Again they NEVER tried to contact us. We owe them nothing and if you look at reviews they do this to most of their ex tenants. They are dumb and don't know the Ohio tenant laws. We owe them NOTHING. Do not rent from them you will regret it!!! We will be contacting a lawyer to get this LIE off of our credit report. read more

They refuse to fix anything properly they tell us not to use our water hoses instead of fixing them they also rented us a house with black mold and said it is in the lease that the house comes with it. They never answer our calls it is crazy I do not recommend this company to anyone read more

Please do not give this place any more business. My boyfriend and I were in a hurry to find someplace due to circumstances. We found the cutest house and really wanted it - we watched it sit empty for months while we waited for them to never return calls, made us jump through hoops etc. Its not even some upscale neighborhood and we are good, professional people with good jobs etc....Since day 1 it has been a nightmare of calling to have things fixed and taking off work. We are now seeing these posts and realize that no matter that we are good tenants who take pride in our home, we will prob not see our security deposit. I have looked on here now and on the BBB site and there is not one single good thing about this company - I am about to call the News station to do a story on them for fraud....its so upsetting. Slum Lord Leasing should be the name of this company. Disgusting properties and terribly written leases. Don't count on getting your security deposit back. I rented a house that was in very poor condition because I was in a bind and upon moving out Landlord leasing attempted to charge me for everything that was wrong with the house that was already there when I moved in (even though I reported an initial walk through report upon moving in within 48 hours like the lease required). I provided pictures upon moving in AND moving out, lived in the house by myself for only 9 months (what damage could I possibly cause?) and Landlord Leasing STILL kept my security deposit AND ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE ME WITH EVEN MORE FEES. I even upgraded the house with blinds, cleaned up the overgrown back yard, fixed a broken fence, and cleaned up a ton of debris that was left in the house and yard. Do not rent from this company, they will keep your money. I was used and cheated because I'm a young female that was renting by myself, an easy target probably. When it came to doing my due diligence in choosing a property management service, I take responsibility for not doing a good job when selecting Landlord Leasing. In every aspect of property management with the exception of "quickly" placing a tenant in the property, Landlord Leasing should be avoided at all cost. Even the pro aspect of placing a tenant into the property later turned out to be a bad action! When it comes to the six areas of property management that they advertise under Management Services, Landlord Leasing gets a grade of F on 4 of the 6 areas and of those 4 I graded them on, only those 4 were needed by me. 1. The credit and screening of the tenants that they placed in the property turned out to be sub-par. They never shared the credit report information or score of the tenants with me. 2. For tenant placement, the tenants left the property in the middle of the night at the end of the month, not paying for the last month of rent and leaving me with a $643 utility bill from the city of Elyria. You see, Elyria will hold the owner of the property responsible for unpaid utilities even though the utilities are placed in the tenants name. Now, the city holds an additional deposit of up to $150 in the event that the tenant and sends the owner a copy of the bill if the tenant gets behind. Landlord Leasing provided no assistance in tracking the tenants or made no attempt to recover lost rent or funds I had to pay to the city for unpaid utilities. Landlord Leasing should have been completely familiar with the city codes and ordnances that govern agreements between the agent and owner. 3. With respect to bookkeeping and accounting, Landlord Leasing gets a grad of D-; considering that the tenants left the property at the end of the month without paying, the deposit was not returned to me, and clearly Landlord Leasing dropped the ball on managing this service. 4. When it comes to maintenance services, here Landlord Leasing really shines. Yes, they shine as bright as the light that emanates from the deepest part of the Marianas Trench! While the tenants were occupying the property, Landlord Leasing was informed by the tenants that the property needed repairs on the roof, the interior, and some plumbing. Mind you, this was work to be performed not prior but after the tenants were occupying the property. Oh, I did not mention that I am an owner of this property that lives out of state. I believe this aspect played a key role in Landlord Leasing taking advantage of the agreement and the horrible work that was performed by their "independent contractors." On inspection of the property after the tenants had left, it was determined that the work on the roof, interior, and plumbing all had been done extremely poorly and had to be reworked. If Landlord Leasing performed an inspection of the work after it had been performed, they either ignored the quality of the work or they are simply inept. If you are an owner that is out of the area, you will need a second pair of eyes to perform a QA on work performed by them and/or validate estimated cost to ensure it is inline with actual work required. Considering their service and the expenses I was charged that resulted from poor management and shoddy workmanship from substandard contractors, Landlord Leasing gets an overall triple F grade. So, lessons learned; the expression of Caveat Emptor never rang more true that when it comes to wisely selecting a management company to handle your property. Key aspects to check are, how long has the company been in business, do they have good references, check them! Do they have qualified and licensed contractors or just "handyman" qualified people to perform repair work that may be required, if you are an out-of-area owner, do your best to have another method to validate quality of work performed or confirmation that the property is being managed to your satisfaction, and lastly, if you cannot establish that you can have complete confidence in the management company you enter in agreement with, look for another management company. Nevertheless, Landlord Leasing will not deliver the most reasonable expectation an owner will have for the services needed to manage your property. I applied with my daughter together we made over the 3.5 above rent they wanted they showed us a house we filled out application turned it in first thing in the morning as soon as they opened i was informedthey were waiting for someone to bring deposit on that house.why show me a house that is spoken for.i saw another house we liked processed the app to inform us we each needed to make about 3000 a month..really so it cost us 110$ for them to tell us that we need 6000 a month to rent a house in lorain for 850$. The communication in office must be horriable becasuse the girls in office called my daughter (2different women) asking for the same things.they said it would take 2-5 hours to process took 3 days.contacted my present land lord this is after they had our income if this is your policy then you should really check on pay stubs first.lol first look would tell you why have us jump tbrough hoops just to deny us.could of said thast at day1. read more
