Awful Customer Service / Poor Quality. We bought a landice tread mill and it has been nothing but a low quailty mess. Customer service is even worse, this is a shady firm. We used one of their approved repair shops and order over $2000 of parts and they never could get this POS to work again. wish i could give zero stars. purchased a new L8 treadmill one year ago and have only had it functional for half that time. the machine shuts off randomly during workouts, and increases speed and incline on its own without touching buttons and yet landice has declared it in fine working order. demands for refunds, complaints to the better business bureau and emails to the president have gone unanswered. this is a garbage company with dishonest and underhanded practices. read more

I bought my Landice L7 treadmill all the way back in 2003. At about $3K, the treadmill costed more than what I really wanted to pay. But Consumer Reports magazine has always rated the brand well and I wanted a reliable unit for the long haul. My research shows that it comes with a lifetime warranty on parts. So I took the hit to my pocket book and bought the treadmill. Well after 15 years of almost daily usage, I can report that the machine has proven itself to be very reliable and therefore worthy of the extra cost. Recently though the wrist strap came apart so I emailed Landice for a replacement. Landice stood behind its bumper-to-bumper warranty and is shipping a replacement unit to me for free. I really appreciate it that came through after all those years. But at this rate, I think the treadmill might outlast me! No worry though! When I first got the treadmill, it came with a "Fitness Legacy" that basically allows the purchaser to transfer the treadmill's lifetime warranty to a family member. I thought it was too silly! Not any more! I definitely recommend it if you want something that will be reliable for years and years. Just don't use it mainly as a clothes hanger. read more

I purchased a Landice L7 in 2006 and for years it was the best. Needed a new motor in 2015 and a new circuit board in 2018. After the new circuit board was replaced we were no longer able to watch TV or listen to a radio (due to electrical interference)while using the Treadmill. Landice explanation was the new circuit boards were not of commercial grade??? Not sure what that meant but for a treadmill that is one of your most boring items to exercise with that is a terrible position to put a customer in. No more Landice for me. read more

Be Warned! Landice Does Not Honor Warranty. I would give zero stars if I could. We purchased our Landice L7 treadmill only two months ago. It was defected and not working properly from day one. A service request was sent to Landice and they rejected it within 12 hours with a dismissive email from Mary Jane, assistant service manager, which according to her own statement had the force of the entire upper management at Landice behind it. They never sent out a technician to look at the problem or inspect the treadmill and report back to them. Do not be fooled by the extensive warranty Landice offers to customers. It is not worth the paper it is printed on. Landice has no intention of honoring the warranty!!! Unfortunately we have been forced to get our credit card company involved and to use our purchase protection plan. read more

I bought a Landice treadmill in January 2021. It began behaving erratically (not working for days at a time) five months' later. The company refused to honor the warranty (or even to send a technician out to examine the treadmill) because I mentioned that a thunderstorm had passed through town shortly before the treadmill stopped working (although the storm did not affect any other appliances or devices in my home). While the company's description on this site refers to the "industry's best warranty," the warranty has enough exceptions that the company will almost always be able to cite an excuse for not repairing its equipment. read more

*** BUYER BEWARE***I have been an owner of Landice treadmills for 25 years and have enjoyed using their products. Several years ago they instituted a "lifetime warranty" on parts which I have used on one of my 3 treadmills several times. In the last couple of years, Landice has decided to change the rules even extending these NEW rules to treadmills purchased prior to these changes with the following: you must pay all shipping charges for your parts and must use someone from their list of repair companies (which I can tell you they do not vet on quality of service) from my experiences with more than one of them. These are dishonest practices and I wanted to make potential buyers aware of what the actual "lifetime warranty" really is. The company has been extremely uncooperative. I offered to pay for shipping (even though I believe the parts should be covered as I purchased the treadmill several years prior to their changes) and for the parts to be sent to me and they have refused, even though they have sent parts to my repair company several times, but now using the excuse that they are not on their "list". So with so many rules is this a lifetime guarantee?? read more

Bit the bullet and got an L7 treadmill. The thing is nicer than anything I ever used a a gym! I feel badly that it sits in my basement 8 months of the year. (I trail run from April thru November, and bring the treadmill up for the winter so that I am not stuck in the basement. The joys of 1100SqFt living!) It is NOT super easy to move at about 300 lbs, but that is also why it is amazing! It is built like a brick $#!* house!! No vibrations, no rattles, no issues at all with quality or workmanship. Everyone knows that the customer service is wonderful, so just go ahead and believe that 100%. I chose the L7 because of the low step height. Remember it is in the basement & I am 6'2", so I like the idea of running w/o knocking myself out on floor joists! Easy leveling too! (poured concrete floor). I have not found anything to complain about, and that's saying something. Worth the investment! read more

As a Gym Owner in New York City , I am carefully meticulous about the type of equipment I purchase for my facility ( which makes my experience with Landice especially hard to digest !) In a nutshell , they KNOWINGLY sold me a model MEANT FOR A RESIDENT ,NOT A COMMERCIAL FACILITY . They had gotten away with it up until recently when yet another part had to be replaced ; they instructed my maintenance company that a warranty could not be issued due to the fact that the treadmill in question WAS MEANT FOR A HOME AND THEY COULDN'T EXTEND BECAUSE It might not hold up in a COMMERCIAL setting etc ... Here's the icing on the cake : when I reached out to them , they were forced to ADMIT what had occurred and told me they still WOULDN NOT stand up behind their actions and make it right . Pathetic/SAD ! They were so desperate to sell a treadmill , that they knowingly sold a GYM a HOME MODEL ( knowing it wouldn't hold up and knowing I would have to purchase parts from them to keep it working ! Unfortunately , I also had purchased 2 other COMMERCIAL grade treadmills from them , and they BREAK DOWN CONSTANTLY ! Disappointing that companies like this exist ! read more
