Five years later. Landers gives the term "upsell" a whole new definition. The salesman we had recently was aggressive and dishonorable to put it mildly. He wanted us to sign a form saying we were legally bound to keep the vehicle we were considering buying and could not return it. I guess vulnerable people give in to sales pressure and are stuck with a car they didn't want. That was just the beginning of his sales spiel. I was amazed at their level of sleeziness. When I went in to talk to the people about what needed to be done there were several employees in there. It took them over 10 minutes to wait on me and I was the only one in there. Some were on the phone but several were doing other things on the computer. I understand they might be busy working on something for another customer, but they did not even acknowledge me. Yet they had time to joke and talk to each other. The guy who waited on me tried to up sale me on some things I did not need. One of them was a filter they had just changed 3 months ago. When I got back to retrieve my car the same thing happened waiting and then when I went to pay I had to go back over to get the amount changed to reflect a current credit on my account. I have a hurt foot and that was not fun. The cost was also a lot more than I pay at a regular place in Bryant. The only reason I came back to Landers was because of the credit. I like Landers but you need to remember the customer needs to at least be acknowledged and don't take advantage of them. read more

Sales person called and said they had located a vehicle I was searching for within the price I wanted. After putting down a 1000 dollar deposit to reserve the vehicle in my name, one hour later I get a text the car is sold to someone else. Salesman says he can't help it if the competing dealership lied about the availability of the vehicle. I don't agree, he should have been able to confirm and know it was available. Then I am told it will take up to 5 days to get my refund. Sales person proceeds to offer other vehicles at much higher prices or vehicles with less optioned features. I feel like once they had my money they figured they had me trapped. Bad business process. Mistakes happen but this is the second dealership that has used this tactic. read more

HIGHLY disappointed and concerned is an understatement. I bought a new 2021 vehicle from Steve Landers in October 2020. I have been diligent in getting my vehicle checked at Steve Landers every 5k miles. I keep every multi-point inspection sheet after my service. I am an attorney; not a vehicle service tech/manager/specialist. As such, I rely completely on the expertise of the persons inspecting my vehicle and the information they provide to me upon payment. For every inspection since I have owned this vehicle, my tires have been marked in the green, indicating the inspection result is "ok." Nothing has ever been mentioned to me about my tires requiring "further attention" (marked in the yellow) or "immediate attention" (marked in the red). The inspection sheet says: "Check Tires / Tread Depth" and has a place for a "Tire Inspection Comment." My last service was 8/27/24, just over 1 month ago. A week ago, I visited my dad, and as soon as he looked at my tires, he told me that they were all dry rotted, and this could be a safety hazard not only for me but for others if I were to have a blow out while driving. I immediately called and made an appointment with Steve Landers. Upon arrival, I spoke with the service manager, Adrian, and the new tire specialist, Russell. After explaining my safety concern and concern for their standard of practice and lack of tech training, I was told that the service techs only do a "visual inspection" and they "only check tread depth." Of course I am confused because 1. A visual inspection would lead a trained tech to identify dry rot in between the tread on every tire, especially when the tech is close enough to the tire to check the tread and air the tires, and 2. That is not what the multi-point inspection sheet says. I am very disappointed in the lack of accountability, lack of concern for inadequate training within the department, lack of concern for legal liability for the company and individual employees, lack of ensuring safety is a top priority, and their version of making this "right" by making excuses, covering for their employees' failure to adhere to generally accepted practices, and offering me 20% off an alignment if I buy all new tires. As if this wasn't concerning enough, after my last inspection in August, I was given my paperwork, told to pay, and sent on my way. No one ever mentioned anything to me about the inspection of my vehicle or if anything would require further attention. Every other time before this appointment, I would get a call that an extra service/maintenance is needed (I.e., a filter needs to be replaced). A couple weeks go by, and I get what appears to be an advertisement in the mail from Steve Landers, with deals on pricing and mentioning that it may be time for new brakes. I was confused because needing new brakes was never mentioned to me at my last service appointment. I pull out my paperwork, and sure enough, they marked the front brakes in the yellow, as needing further attention. I was blindsided. The lack of communication regarding parts of a vehicle that are significant to human safety and wellbeing is a complete disregard to the risk posed and the potential consequences thereof. I have lost all confidence in this department, and I can only assume Steve Landers' gross negligence, recklessness, negligent hiring, negligent training, and negligent supervision permeates the entire company. read more

This was my first time back after making a complaint a few months back, I only came back because I still had free oil changes. When I got there the tire guy was kinda rude which he did go to the lobby and apologized to me about 30mins later. But the worst part of my experience is I had a working ac when I came in but I left without a working one. And I talked to Adrian and he just told me it wasnt them they had nothing to do with it and it was 150 to look at it. So obviously I said no why would I want them to look at it I literally only came for an oil change and left without an ac. I don't want any of you working on my vehicle again. The mechanics that performed the alignment did a great job. They fist guy at the counter checking in was rude. He sat in the middle of the room with ear buds in. My wife had parked along the side instead of pulling in the bays. The guy asked where the car was I told him where she parked and he just looked at me and said I guess we will move it then. I got a call from a sales manager stating my payment would be 398 and to come in. the salesman gave a sheet to sign that had 23,000 for the price . I go in the sign paperwork my payment is 498 and now I owe 30000 for the same car. Team needs to have more in dept conversation on the financial side. We live an hour and forty-five minutes from the dealership. Ordered some parts that were supposed to be available in about 3 days. Parts supposed to call when available for installation. Crickets. Called about 20 times over two days to see if available (no answer from parts) since I had heard nothing! Left messages for call back - nothing! When we called our salesman, Chuck, he checked on the parts and arranged a service appointment for the install. If not for him we would have had to drive to Little Rock to straighten it out. The dealership is hit n miss for service in my experience. One time for an oil change it took less than 30 minutes with an appointment. The next time I didn't need an oil change just a tire rotation with an appointment again and I was there almost 3 hours! Appointments should take priority over drive ups which I saw many drive ups get their oil changed AND tires rotated while my vehicle sat in a different line. read more

Then proceeded to say that he was going to pay for our rental car from landers because the work had been over looked due to miscommunication between the writer and the phone call that was made to us that the manager never got back to the mechanic about the extra work to be done so no one gave them the answer so no one finished the work it stayed right where it was parked till we where called to pick it up . We where gaveling it serviced for a long trip and they gladly charged us for nothing . So here's the KICKER WHEN WE GOT THE SCEOMD CALL WE EXPECTED THAT ALL THE WOTK HAD BEEN DONE !! Right what a joke they changed the spark plugs and NOTHING ELSE ‍ the alignment had been over looked again or they said that their machine was broken and they would refund me being upset because now I was there for 8 hours on Saturday and the work had not been done because the filters where the old ones still and idk about the fluids but my truck was running real rough still like nothing had changed from the driving preferences I was upset I had to take it to another dealership to really get the work done . In the meanwhile my trip was postponed due to them Not Doing the work and No no apologies Where Made nor has Management Called us in regards to This Matter!!! Came in for my 60k service, everything went great but a small plastic part for my sideview mirror needed to be ordered. It came in the next day, and I was asked to stop by without an appointment. When I did, I was asked to make an appointment for the following week... After I showed up at the appointed time, I had to wait for THREE HOURS to get the part installed... Since I was there, I tried to get my 2022 Toyota refinanced to pay it off quicker, but the employee was only interested in selling me a 2025 model... After the 3-hour wait they charged me $90 for an inspection (!!!) and gave me a $560 quote (!!!) to replace all the electronics for the mirror. I went looking for Chris Hogue, who had taken care of me for my service the first time around. Chris located the part, installed it himself in THIRTY SECONDS, fixed the wrongful charge, and sent me on my way. Terrible experience and a major, potential rip-off, only saved by Chris. The absolutely worst service I've ever had anywhere. It would take a book to write about the way they bungled repairs on my Jeep, but kept charging me each time I brought it in because the issue wasn't fixed. This went on for months--no kidding. I would have (and should have) taken it elsewhere but I thought they would stand by their work. Communication is difficult. Your phone calls frequently go unanswered. Lots of times you can't even get anyone to answer a phone. I will say most of the people I dealt with were nice and seemed to feel bad about what was going on. The only person I found unpleasant was Dennis. He was condescending. He spoke about other work the Jeep needed. I didn't respond to his rudeness but I was NEVER having work done there again. Once called out, he will backpedal and make up fake regulations to rationalize his fraud. My favorite part is when he falsified / created a mythical federal law to justify his position. Says a lot about his character. Also, when you decline to buy his extended warranties, he will turn into a bully, try to devalue your vehicle and insult you. I brought to the guy's attention that my app still shows my windshield wiper fluid was low, he said I will take care of it. He didn't! Not only did he not take care of it when he pulled my vehicle around to supposedly take care of it he put water in it! The reason we know he because my husband looked and spelled of it when I got home. Point being if they half done the job did the really do anything to my RAV4 at all??? spoke with general manager Chris to explain issue my daughter had with service. Typical..explaining why everything was everyone else's fault. It appears someone got mad because they couldn't sell tires during a free oil change and mysteriously all the freon was drained out of her ac which was working fine when they took it back. She spoke with the cat over service. "Adrian" which offered to fix it for 150.00. coincidence? " Of course "Chris" had to explain the situation. Freon is regulated. Bet there is no video in the shop area. Shop she took it to afterwards showed no leaks and no Freon in the system. Math adds up. Either sucked it up with recovery unit or released it out in the air. EPA will be interested. Real interested in how many times this has happened to others. All people can do is report it. My car was picked up this morning at 10 a.m. Toyota sent me a bill to pay 11:08. I paid my bill and I have been sitting here stranded with no vehicle for the past 3 hours. The reason i didn't reach out earlier is because the person that dropped off the driver sat across the street from my home for 20 minutes at about 12:30, so I assumed they were bringing my car back then. I would really enjoy the ability to have complimentary things to say about this dealership and especially its service department but it is more and more difficult each time. The oil change took 45 minutes. But when delivery is 3 hours and i try to communicate with their service person Chase and it takes 45 minutes for him to even respond to my text, alot of these things are unacceptable. Sales rep was very professional and respectful, though lacked a knowledge of the truck though. We made a handshake deal on a few small item, guess that doesn't mean anything anymore. Also in writing. Truck was dirty and alignment was off bad, and a couple small vent adjustment slides were suppose to be replaced as well as floor mats. The sales rep said he would have the fuel tank filled, alignment repaired, with other things and the truck detailed prior to pick up. None of which were done, truck was dirty(inside/out), alignment was way off still, and the tabs weren't replaced. "We don't want to spend another dollar on this truck" is what the sales rep quoted from a sales manager. But I was lucky to get the missing floor mats a week later. I do very much like the truck, but no one could tell me why it had sat on the lot from 6/21/24 - 9/19/24... red flag. But I still bought it. I normally have Campbell Dodge do my maintenance and I will likely be doing purchase business from them in the future. read more
